Diversity Officer At Public University Earns More Than Congressmen, Governors
City of Cambridge, MA has two diversity officers. I asked one what they did. She explained that they talk to employees who are are upset with the way they are treated by colleagues. But the city has a human rights commission and the state has a Commission Against Discrimination which also hears from citizens of the state who do not like the way they are treated. So why do some people get extra special treatment when others must just go through regular channels. Is it the same reason why college women who report they were raped want special treatment because the usual police, prosecutors and hospitals who are all specially trained by taxpayers to collect evidence for rape victims? More waste of taxpayer funds.

The recently tapped chief diversity officer at Northern Illinois University will make $205,000 a year – a $185,000 salary and $20,000 in allowances and expenses – collecting more than 99 percent of U.S. Congress members and all U.S. governors.
In an email to The College Fix, a spokesman for the public university confirmed Vernese Edghill-Walden’s compensation package of $205,000 annually, and defended the remuneration as a good use of taxpayer dollars.
