Boston Police Arrest Suspect For 2011 Unsolved Rape, Using DNA
[From article]
The Suffolk District Attorney's Office says 26-year-old former East Boston resident Thomas Cradock was charged Thursday with aggravated rape, armed assault with intent to murder and other crimes during a Superior Court arraignment.
Authorities say the victim was found badly beaten and nearly naked in a vacant lot in East Boston on Sept. 21, 2011.
Prosecutors say a DNA sample Cradock was forced to give after a conviction for a 2012 nonfatal stabbing in Marshfield matched DNA found on the rape victim. Cradock is currently serving prison time for the stabbing.
