Toddler Removed From Filthy Newburyport, MA Home

Example of what it was like

[From article]
The kitchen counters and floors were covered with trash and filthy clothes, police said, and animal
feces were scattered throughout the house. Despite the fly strips hanging from the light fixtures, police said, the home was infested with insects and access to some of the rooms was completely blocked by piles of clothing, trash and furniture.
“We are just glad right now that the baby isn’t living in there anymore,” Hardy said. “It’s shocking.”
Police said safety conditions inside were “extremely dangerous even for the most fit and able person” and there was only one way in and out, through a rear door. All of the other doors and windows were inaccessible, police said.
