Two Long Island Rail Road trains collided just east of Jamaica Station

Nobody was injured when the trains sideswiped one another just east of Jamaica Station shortly before 6:30 p.m., the MTA said.
All westbound service has been temporarily suspended and eastbound commuters can expect cancellations and heavy delays.
Passengers aboard the disabled train headed to Jamaica were forced to evacuate onto an adjacent rescue train, one witness said.
