“This is America. Maybe you can move to Mexico if you want to fly your Mexican flag. Does that make sense?” Capps says.
Wait spoke to the homeowner’s husband, Sigifredo Banuelos, who didn’t understand why Capps was making their flag her concern.
“I don’t think it’s offensive because this flag doesn’t do anything,” he said.
Banuelos says he and his family never meant to offend anyone. They were just celebrating their Mexican heritage. He says the family keeps both a U.S. and Mexican flag flying.
“We decide. We have one American and one Mexican,” he said.
Capps said she was offended by the Mexican flag.
“I was offended. I was pretty upset. But I couldn’t understand her,” Capps said.
Capps says she’s received threats since the video was posted and went viral. Capps insists she’s not a racist, just a patriot.
“I don’t understand what all the hatred is about. Why everyone is labeling me these names. Racist? I don’t understand why everyone is so angry.”
Capps says the fallout from the video caused her to lose her independent contact position with a real estate company.
As for the city, they say the flag is not in violation of any city, state or federal ordinances.

We this is a.free.country.we are aloud to fly flags that celebrate our heritages.thats makrs this country special.brcause it wad built by so.many different nationalities.and culture is so diverse in ca.is what makes.it special I live.in portland.or.snd..we.have.a lot of.people with swiss ancestry.and.fly their.flags with pride.we don't hear anyone cimplaining.so let.ppl be free to express them selves.and fly the.many flags.that.have..built.america .(Ca).proud along with the american flag.because that what america is a melting pot.of all different types of people who made america.what it is today.we are the faces of many.nations.many cultures.i think that woman doesn't know.her history.after.all.probably about.2/3 or more.americans.in ca.are of mexican ancestry.it.once.was.mexico.then it bacame the republic of ca then it became.part.of.the us.so before anyone lets the cat get your tougne look in the.mirror.the woman herself.look like she.could.have.mexican ancestry in her genes.
If she.was a patriot she would.have.not.made.that.statement.after all america.is.a.melting.pot of.a lot of different.cultures who built her..in orego we have swiss flags,along with polish.flags,mexican flags flying.and.proud.because.thede are some.of.the.cultures who influence the great state of.oregon.
