Lowry notices "Obama and his hubristic faith in the wisdom and powers of a technocratic elite." It joins his worship of credentials. Obama is comfortable with the lack of common sense and absence of integrity in his colleagues. Lowry suggests, "liberalism failed to understand that society is not an enormous engineering project." Yet Lowry supports social engineering of the psychiatric industry and the drug companies which promote the idea that drugs merchants should control behavior and speech.
