White House Plays Santa Claus For 7 Years

[From article]
It was the year 2009, and it was official. The Obama administration shelved the anti-missile shield from Poland and Czech Republic and let it marinate in an attic jar. The move was done with an unparalleled subtlety, on the same day that Poland was commemorating the 70th anniversary of its World War II invasion by the USSR. After months of ballet pirouettes in public statements where the Eastern Europeans were “reassured” that their concerns on the issue were totally groundless, the inevitable (and predictable) happened. The Obama administration, citing budgetary reasons, upended the agreements with two NATO allies by cancelling the Bush-era project that angered Russia.
[. . .]

In July, president Obama was addressed in an open letter signed by 22 prominent Eastern European leaders, who voiced their concern that the region had ceased to be a priority on the U.S. foreign policy agenda. The letter warned against “the misguided notion” that the region was largely stable and on a secure path to full trans-Atlantic integration. In reality, this traditional pro-American region was increasingly critical to the United States’ cave in to Russia’s “revisionist power pursuing a 19th-century agenda with 21st-century tactics.”
Had the administration wanted to show contempt for faithful allies in Eastern Europe, there was no better way than scrapping the planned anti-missile shield. It was obvious that, at that moment and even later, the United States did not consider Central and Eastern Europe as a priority any more.
[. . .]
In fact, this was Obama’s free gift to the Russians, offered with a red bow on a golden plate way before the September 2012 president’s tete-a-tete with Medvedev at the Seoul nuclear safety summit and during his “open mike” genuine moment of sincerity.
While it was obvious that U.S. world policy had turned 180 degrees since Obama assumed office, Russian policy continued to look disturbingly unchanged.
In terms of firsthand knowledge of communism, America should have given more credit to Eastern Europe. After all, the Eastern Europeans’ deeper understanding of the multiple facets -- theoretical, clinical, and practical -- of a totalitarian ideology and society exceeds by far Obama’s occasional exotic incursions in the Marxism-pigmented readings during his university years. And this goes for Obama’s international and domestic policies. His obstinacy in promoting collectivist ideas of a “fair share” type has managed to produce confusion in America and hilarity in Eastern Europe. In this context, Jimmy Carter’s 1977 remarks about being “free of that inordinate fear of communism” appear as an equally sinister and pathetic joke.
[. . .]
When he alienated the allies by allying himself with the aliens, he ended up looking more like Terry Crews, as the goofy president Camacho in Idiocracy. In the end, even Camacho came back to his senses. Let us all hope that we, as a nation, do not end up living those “idiocratic” apocalyptic times.

Conformist Polish Media Protects Communist Leaders, Censors Dissent. Entire Government Leadership Killed in Plane Crash

How is this different from what U.S. journalists do when reporting and not reporting about government criminals?

[From article]
With New Year fireworks, Western media opened a frontal attack on the new Polish government formed after a landslide election victory by the Law and Justice Party (PIS). In 2015, the PIS won both presidential and parliamentary elections, and for the first time since WWII, removed entrenched post-communist forces from power in Poland. To the surprise of many Polish people, American media reacted with anger to this development, announcing that in Poland a radical right-wing government was formed and overnight introduced a dictatorship. Poland’s so-called “disturbing tilt to the right” was of grave concern to the Western media, which had been dutifully supporting the previous post-communist government of the Civic Platform (“PO”) and PSL coalition. Protests against “violation of democracy” and “Putinization of Poland” reverberated across the West.
[. . .]
The Western media were outraged that the PIS government challenged the appointment of five judges to the Constitutional Court hastily pushed through the parliament by the previous PO/PSL coalition. They failed to report, however, that the constitutional crisis in Poland resulted from the illegal attempt of the PO/PSL coalition to force its 14 judges to the 15-member Constitutional Court in the final days of the parliament term.
[. . .]
A similar constitutional crisis occurred almost simultaneously in Venezuela. The party in power that was about to lose elections stacked the Supreme Court with their own appointments just before elections. The difference in reporting on these two similar cases is astonishing. The Venezuelan case received a detailed coverage. All relevant facts were provided and arguments of both sides were clearly presented. No one called the struggle over the Supreme Court in Venezuela as a coup d’état. Instead, constitutional law experts provided arguments for both sides of the conflict. No one raised concerns about “putinization” of Venezuela.
[. . .]
With respect to Poland, Western media disregarded the obligation to provide diverse viewpoints and responsible content. Paradoxically, this serious failure to provide balanced reporting took place while the media were accusing the new Polish government of violating freedom of speech and freedom of press.
[. . .]
A massive wave of firings in all Polish media took place in 2010, in the aftermath of the crash of Polish Air Force One in Smolensk, Russia. At the time, nearly all independently thinking journalists were removed from the mainstream media without a single complaint from the Western watchdogs of free speech and human rights. The publisher of a leading daily, Rzeczpospolita, was almost destroyed by the PO/PSL government for revealing that samples from the Smolensk crash site tested positive for explosives.
[. . .]
The gap between Western myths and the reality of contemporary Poland is alarming. To most Americans, Lech Walesa remains a symbol of victory over communism. Thus far, no Western historian has been willing to take on the subject of what the archives reveal about Lech Walesa. But in Poland everybody knows that Walesa was a communist collaborator used by the Jaruzelski regime to assure communist forces in Poland a smooth transformation into free marketeers with all their powers and privileges intact.
[. . .]
The year 2009 leading up to April 10, 2010 was marked by an unprecedented media onslaught on President Lech Kaczynski. He was attacked and ridiculed for his every move and every word. His every public appearance was used to discredit him in the eyes of the public. All the mainstream media were engaged in the massive assault on President Lech Kaczynski. Looking back, the statement of a Russian FSB agent Alexander Litwinienko made just before his untimely death that the public must be adequately prepared for a political assassination was prophetic.
On the morning of April 10, 2010, President Lech Kaczynski, the entire Central Command of the Polish Armed Forces, and representatives of the patriotic elite of Polish society evaporated in the crash of the Polish Air Force One in Smolensk, Russia. Poland froze.
[. . .]
Providing half-truths was not sufficient either. The most common tool used by the PO/PSL media was the practice of discrediting those who disagreed with them.
[. . .]
those who dared to challenge the official version of the Smolensk crash were brutally discredited as conspiracy theorists, some key opponents committed so-called suicides. Public discourse became one gigantic manipulation.
[. . .]
communist victims were turned into oppressors, Solidarity real heroes became renegades, and efforts to demand accountability for communist crimes were discredited as ill motivated.
[. . .]
One commentator observed that watching these post-communists from KOD protesting against violations of democracy in Poland is like watching the Gestapo and SS protesting against anti-Semitism.

European People Organize Against Middle East Muslim Migrant Invasion

Determined: Festerling poses in front of a statue of Martin Luther in Dresden. She cited his 1521 statement, 'here I stand. God help me. I can do no other.'

[From article]
The most powerful woman in far-Right Germany has made an extraordinary call for the public to ‘forget about decency’ and fight the ‘sex-jihad’ she claims is being waged against Western women.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Tatjana Festerling, 51, the second-in-command of the anti-Islam group Pegida, said ‘political correctness’ was putting women and gay men at risk of assault.
In a vicious attack on Muslim migrants and the political elite, she said: ‘Germany is like an open-air psychiatric ward with the mental illness of political correctness.
'We don’t have time for decency any more. If we don’t grab our pitchforks and fight the Islamisation of Europe, we are lost.'
Her comments, in a video for MailOnline, will cause concern that a resurgent far-Right is exploiting migration to whip up racist hatred.
[. . .]
Accompanied by a bodyguard at a cafe in central Dresden, Festerling told MailOnline:
’Pegida are the only ones who don’t care about being politically correct. We just don’t care. We have no scruples and no fear.
‘We are on the rise all over the world, regaining territory that was lost to political correctness.
‘The Muslim headscarf should be banned, and radical mosques should be closed. We need to make life uncomfortable for them.
'Migrants should be forced to register at police stations, and ultimately we need to look at deportation. If they keep crossing the border and you can't arrest them, shoot them.'
Germany’s ‘refugees welcome culture’ is like a cult, she said, with anti-migrant voices being suppressed by an out-of-touch political elite. She continued:
In peaceful times, we Germans like to be decent and behave nicely to foreigners. But in times like these, we need to forget about decency.
'F*** decency. This fight against Islamisation is the last battle.’
Her inflammatory remarks followed a week in which Pegida – a German acronym for Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West – led demonstrations across the globe, a number of which turned violent.
Experts fear that the escalation in rhetoric marks a 'gear-shift' on the far-Right, raising fears of further unrest around the continent.
‘People are on the verge of panic about mass immigration, and Pegida is trying to capitalise on that,’ said Vidhya Ramalingam, a Fellow at the German Institute on Radicalisation and De-Radicalisation Studies (GIRDS).
‘It’s a very dangerous moment, because when people feel out of control they resort to violence.’
Festerling went on to compare the Left’s supportive attitude towards migrants to ‘Stockholm Syndrome’.
‘Even as the migrants are committing sex-jihad against women and homosexual men, the Leftists are offering them roses,’ she said.
‘They care more about young Muslim men than they do about their own women. They are infatuated with their own abusers.’
[. . .]
The Islamisation of Europe was ‘already underway’, she added, with churches being forced to remove crucifixes, pork being banned in kindergartens, Sharia police roaming the streets, and the whole of western Germany run as a ‘caliphate’.
'Islam is a twisted ideology,' she claimed.
As fears about immigrants have become more mainstream, there has been a noticeable escalation in Pegida’s belligerence.
[. . .]
Experts fear that this represents 'a new sense of self-confidence' on the far-Right in the wake of the immigrant sex attacks.
Like many far-Right movements, Pegida has been beset by infighting. Last year, a number of senior members lost their nerve and left the group, with one apologising to Muslims in a video message.
Yet its aggressive stance towards the government and migrants strikes a chord with an increasing number of disenfranchised Germans, particularly white men, who are driving the resurgence of the far-Right across the continent.
Launched in October 2014 to oppose ‘the Islamisation of Europe’, Pegida has expanded into other countries, including Austria, Belgium, Holland and Britain, though some of the numbers may be small.
In Dresden, where the group was founded, it regularly attracts up to 5,000 supporters to its Monday night rallies.

Rally: A Pegida demonstration in Dresden, where up to 5,000 people gather every week on Mondays.

Last week, the group staged demonstrations around the world under the monicker ‘Fortress Europe’.
Demonstrations took place as far afield as Australia, and 200 Pegida supporters led by Tommy Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League (EDL), marched silently in Birmingham.
Festerling herself took part in a rally in Warsaw, where she launched the Polish branch of Pegida in front of a 2,000-strong crowd,
[. . .]
There are many patriotic people in Poland.’
Her latest comments will infuriate people who refuse to buy in to fears about mass migration - and those who fear the far-Right is exploiting migration to whip up hatred.
At the same time, however, they are designed to appeal to a growing unease among mainstream voters who are not connected to the far-Right.
According to Germany’s Federal Office of Migration and Refugees, 476,649 people sought asylum in 2015. And the numbers appear to be rising: in January alone, there were more than 50,000.
Political conditions in Germany mean that those with concerns about mass migration have little representation in parliament.
The pro-migrant Chancellor, Angela Merkel, is governing over a coalition that includes the Social Democrats, Germany’s second-largest party. Other parties, such as the Greens, share her ‘open door’ stance.
Merkel is widely blamed for the current crisis. At Pegida rallies in Germany, placards depicting her in a hijab, with the caption ‘take your Muslims and get lost’, are commonplace.
[. . .]
In recent months, Pegida has pledged to form a legitimate political party; put a stop to a tax that funds German state media; launch legal action against the federal government; publish weekly ‘Pegidaleaks’ online to uncover corruption in State institutions; and lead a boycott of the economy every Wednesday.

Documentary About Madam Marie Curie

Marie Curie (1867 – 1934)
Image from 1920

[English version video removed from BBC and YouTube due to copyright claims]
[Description]
Nearly 80 years after her death, Marie Curie remains by far the best known female scientist. In her lifetime, she became that rare thing: a celebrity scientist, attracting the attention of the news cameras and tabloid gossip. They were fascinated because she was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize and is still the only person to have won two Nobels in two different sciences. But while the bare bones of her scientific life, the obstacles she had to overcome, the years of painstaking research, and the penalty she ultimately paid for her discovery of radium have become one of the iconic stories of scientific heroism, there is another side to Marie Curie: her human story.
This multi-layered film reveals the real Marie Curie, an extraordinary woman who fell in love three times, had to survive the pain of loss, and the public humiliation of a doomed love affair. It is a riveting portrait of a tenacious mother and scientist, who opened the door on a whole new realm of physics, which she discovered and named: radioactivity.

The Genius of Marie Curie - The Woman Who Lit Up the World

* * *

[From article]
Initially, she was buried at a modest cemetery in Sceaux, a Parisian suburb. In 1995, she was exhumed and became the first woman to be entombed on her own merits in the Panthéon in Paris.
First, however, her body had to be tested for traces of radiation. One of the revelations in the superb documentary was that she was unlikely to have died of radiation poisoning, as folklore would have one believe. A radiology expert interviewed by the programme recalled that when he tested her remains by “rubbing the forehead and pelvis of Marie Curie with blotting paper”, he found that the levels were low. He speculates that Curie in fact died of X-Ray poisoning sustained during her service in mobile X-Ray units in the Great War (which, incidentally, were her idea).

FBI Director Under Attack For Misguided Remarks About Holocaust

Poland's ambassador to the U.S., Ryszard Schnepf, was not happy after the director of the FBI suggested that Poland shared responsibility for the Holocaust.

The FBI director spends too much time speculating on political correctness and hate speech while the country is infiltrated by subversives who want to destroy the nation. He is a typical mindless appointee of the misguided White House, whose goals appear to be the destruction of the American political system.

[From article]
The article by FBI director James Comey, published in the Washington Post earlier this week, [said]: "In their minds, the murderers and accomplices of Germany, and Poland, and Hungary, and so many, many other places didn’t do something evil. They convinced themselves it was the right thing to do, the thing they had to do."
Poland says the passage wrongly implied it was complicit in the Nazi genocide of European Jews.

Mass Graves From World War II Discovered in Poland

Over the course of six weeks, archaeologists have exhumed the remains of an estimated 3,000 men from eight mass graves in southeastern Poland—bones belonging to nearly-impossible-to-identify soldiers who were victims of the Nazis.
The Soviet and Italian troops were interned in a German stalag near the city of Przemysl, where they were shot, starved, worked to the point of collapse, or left to die of disease.
The remains include those of Italian soldiers who were treated as traitors after Benito Mussolini was deposed in 1943. AFP describes bones sorted by type, with ribs in one area, skulls in another.

Polish Surgeons Restore Ability Of Paralyzed Man To Stand, Walk

[From article]

A man who was completely paralysed from the waist down can walk again after a British-funded surgical breakthrough which offers hope to millions of people who are disabled by spinal cord injuries.
Polish surgeons used nerve-supporting cells from the nose of Darek Fidyka, a Bulgarian man who was injured four years ago, to provide pathways along which the broken tissue was able to grow.
The 38-year-old, who is believed to be the first person in the world to recover from complete severing of the spinal nerves, can now walk with a frame and has been able to resume an independent life, even to the extent of driving a car, while sensation has returned to his lower limbs.
[. . .]

“He can get around with a walker and he’s been able to resume much of his original life, including driving a car. He’s not dancing, but he’s absolutely delighted,” said Raisman.
The NSIF’s founder, David Nicholls, whose son Daniel was paralysed in 2003, said information relating to the breakthrough will be made available to other researchers around the world to help cure paralysis.

A Beautiful Woman

IRENA SENDLER

The Nobel Peace Prize doesn't always go to the most deserving!

See why below:*

Irena Sendler

There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.

She had an ' ulterior motive ' ... She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German.)

Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids.).

She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers, of course, wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2,500 kids/infants.

She was caught, and the Nazis broke both her legs and arms, and beat her severely.

Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most, of course, had been gassed.

Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

In 2007, Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize..... She was not selected.

* Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

GOD BLESS HER May she rest in Peace. She died on May 12, 2008
