Volunteers Recruited To Expose Propaganda in School Textbooks

[From article]
The next generation of Americans is being indoctrinated by Islamic supremacists who are in positions of power and influence over school curricula. They are stealing our children’s minds and setting the United States up to sink even further into a morass of ignorance.
[. . .]

It appears that 1500 errors have been found by textbook reviewers so far and of those, over 60% of the material was either removed or changed. Ultimately, 50 concerned citizens impacted the education of 5 million children, helping to ensure they received “more factually correct and less politically biased textbooks for the next 10 years.” Examples of errors include:
McGraw Hill World History textbook, 2014 edition: “In the conquered territories of Asia and North Africa there were peaceful interactions among Muslim, Christian, and Jewish societies.”
Houghton Mifflin World History textbook, 2014 edition: “Sharia law requires Muslim leaders to extend religious tolerance to Christians and Jews.”

Cambridge City Councilor Proposes Remarkable Plans

Benzan wants to bring back slavery in Cambridge. Not black people but, persons with disabilities and those without homes who likely did not commit any crime are encouraged to volunteer to improve Central Square. Does this show hatred toward persons with disabilities by this councilor? Why not compel lawyers, professors, politicians, architects, engineers and doctors to volunteer for cleanup? If the end is to treat drug addiction with more beds, why not put a clinic in Central Square instead of police to address the drug problem? High tech trash barrels increase the spread of germs unlike the old ones, which do not require touching. A legacy of the City Council which approved the expenditures. When did I make a vow to others in the community, or others to me? Cambridge citizens, strong conformists, do not support others. With three universities in the city, the academic community dominates as the most competitive, not caring, group in this country.

Volunteer At Disability Facility Shot Dead By Former Patient

Mozelle Nalan

[Obituary from Skagway [Alaska] News]

Mozelle Nalan
February 1992 – July 2011

Leap Year Day 1992, in Whitehorse, Yukon, Ken and Natasha Nalan were blessed with an adorable baby girl, Mozelle.
Mozelle became extremely ill and doctors did not expect her to survive an emergency surgery at 36-hours-old. God blessed Mozelle's family and they enjoyed her bright blue eyes and shining spirit for 19 years, 4 months and 17 days. We are striving to thank God for the precious years we had her instead of those we lost.
Mozelle spent her childhood years in Skagway. Many happy times were spent with her dog, Shelley. During summer she would hike to and camp at Upper Lake with Judy Selmer, and even hiked the Chilkoot Trail. Zell could write and sing wonderful songs. She loved skiing, swimming, rock climbing, zip lines but most of all playing with siblings. She attended horse camp at Heart-Bar Ranch first as a camper then as a counselor. Her Baha'I faith was important to her.

Mozelle was honored to attend NCCI in London, Ontario. Mozelle enjoyed her teachers and friends. She happily immersed herself in dance, music, and theater.
Mozelle then moved with her mother and siblings to the Seattle area in 2007 to be closer to the medical care she needed. During her treatments she would take time to visit teenage cancer patients during their chemo. Her love of horses led her to volunteer at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Stable. She had hoped to make this her career. Sadly that desire to serve others was cut short when she was murdered while volunteering in Anchorage.

Please honor Mozelle's life of service by doing a good deed on Leap Year Day.
Mozelle is survived by her parents, beloved siblings Erik, Aurora and Layli, and 10 half brothers and sisters. We thank the community for their concern and support. Donations would be greatly appreciated through the Mozelle Nalan Memorial Fund at Key Bank Alaska to lay her body to rest. A celebration of life took place at the Anchorage Baha'I Center on Sunday July 24 for friends and family, followed by a potluck.
A Skagway remembrance service and celebration of Mozelle’s life will be held at Seven Pastures on Sunday, July 31 at 4 p.m.. There will be a half-hour ceremony officiated by local ministers, and then the celebration will begin. People are welcome to stop by, bring food and share memories of Mozelle. Please bring meat for the barbecue or other dishes. All are welcome, especially musicians with their instruments. Mozelle loved music.
The family especially thanks Samantha Welch and Brandy Mayo for their valued friendship. – Submitted by the family.

Editor's note: Coverage of the Skagway memorial appeared in the August 12, 2011 issue.

This event occurred more than four years ago. I found out in June 2015. It shows how misguided journalism and politicians' priorities are.

Police say McEvoy was 21 years old on June 30, 2011, when he walked into the back yard of the Soteria House, on the 3200 block of Doris Street, and shot Nalan, who had been in training at the facility for nearly a year. Nalan suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her head and neck, including a final round which McEvoy allegedly fired while she was lying on the ground; she was taken to a hospital, but died weeks later.
McEvoy was accused of first-degree murder and other charges in Nalan’s shooting. He initially entered a not-guilty plea in the case, but pleaded guilty to the murder charge in August; in exchange, prosecutors dropped several counts of assault related to the case.

Massachusetts Man 36, Killed Fighting ISIS With Kurds in Iraq

Keith Bromfield, 36, From Bolton, MA

[From article]
Hundreds of grateful Kurds have bid a hero's farewell to a U.S. soldier who died fighting against the Islamic State in Syria after traveling to the war-torn country because he felt it was 'God's will'.
Residents waved flags and applauded as Keith Broomfield's casket was driven through the streets of Kobani in a white van on Thursday - more than a week after he died in a battle between Kurdish forces and ISIS.
The 36-year-old's body was handed over to his grief-stricken family at a Turkish border crossing, Kurdish official Idriss Naasan told AP. It was not immediately clear which of Broomfield's relatives received his body at the Mursitpinar gate.
Broomfield, from Westminster, Massachusetts, was killed on June 3 in a battle in a Syrian village near Kobani, making him likely the first U.S. citizen to die fighting alongside the Kurds against the terror group.

Polish Resistance Hero Volunteered For Concentration Camp

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2195838/Polish-historians-hope-secret-mass-grave-yield-hero-Auschwitz-VOLUNTEERED-enter-death-camp-chronicle-exterminations.html

Polish historians hope secret mass grave will yield hero of Auschwitz who VOLUNTEERED to enter death camp and chronicle exterminations
Witold Pilecki survived nearly three years as an inmate in the death camp, smuggling out word of executions before making a daring escape
But the Polish resistance hero was crushed by the post-war communist regime, tried on trumped-up charges and executed
Poland now hopes Pilecki's remains will be identified among the skeletons of resistance fighters being excavated from a mass grave in Warsaw

High Paid Mayor Wants You to Work Without Pay

Altruistic Cambridge MA Mayor wants others tp work for free. Will he donate all of his salary and benefits to make his work volunteer also? Isn't it typical that Obama and Edward Kennedy both multi millionaires living lives of privilege call on others to work for free.
