The items were found when police apprehended career criminal West Spruill, 39, and recovered the .40-caliber pistol he used to gun down the innocent woman as she ran naked down the street trying to escape an attempted rape.
Spruill stalked Ana Charle, 36, as she left left her job at the Project Renewal shelter on Bronx Boulevard in Wakefield at about 5:45 p.m. Monday and walked to her Honda parked a block away.
That’s when the maniac pulled a gun on her and ordered her into the back seat and then told her to take off her clothes, police sources said.

The sources said Spruill did not have a chance to restrain the woman’s wrists because she slipped out of the car and ran naked down the street.
But she didn’t make it very far before Spruill caught up with her and gunned her down, firing two .40-caliber slugs into her head and one into her torso.

Charle, a native of Spain, was rushed to Montefiore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
“She requested security, but they never provided it at that place,” Alcendor said, referring to problem-plagued Project Renewal.
Spruill found his way to Project Renewal in June of last year, just months after being set free from a Michigan prison where he served seven years for assault with a deadly weapon, the source said.
He was also charged with misdemeanor assault in Brooklyn last month.
He crashed at Charle’s facility until January, when he left to take up residence at another shelter in Manhattan and lived there until April 7, sources said.
Investigators believe Spruill returned to the Bronx shelter with the intention of committing the crime against Charle.

LAPD Shoots Dead Homeless Man Who Was Impersonating A French Citizen. Previously Served 15 Years in Prison For Bank Robbery

Police can be seen pointing their weapons at the homeless man in Los Angeles in a video posted to Facebook.

[From article]
When a black homeless man was shot dead by police on Skid Row on Sunday, the shooting was seen as yet another example of white policemen in the United States being too quick to reach for their guns. But the full story behind the man's death – and his remarkable life – has emerged as something far more complex.
The 39-year-old identified by police after his death as Charley Saturmin Robinet was actually using a fake identity, stolen from a Frenchman, to try and make a career in Hollywood.
The man known to his Skid Row friends as "Africa" or "Cameroon" had stolen Mr Robinet's identity, and in the late 1990s used it to acquire a French passport to come to the United States. He moved to Los Angeles, and, according to the Los Angeles Times, began taking acting classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse – a drama school whose alumni include George Clooney, Michelle Pfeiffer and Alec Baldwin.
But he struggled to pay the fees, and in 2000 was arrested after holding up a bank in the LA suburb of Thousand Oaks.
Wearing a ski mask and armed with a gun, the man burst into a Wells Fargo Bank and ordered everyone down on the floor. He jumped the counter and demanded money from a teller. He dragged the bank teller to the vault, and when the teller didn't have the key to open it, he pistol-whipped and kicked him, court documents state.
[. . .]
When he was shot on Sunday police identified him from his fingerprints, which matched those of the bank heist committed by "Charley Robinet" in 2000.
[. . .]
But French authorities came forward late on Tuesday and said that Robinet is a law-abiding citizen who is "alive and well in France."
Axel Cruau, the French consul general in Los Angeles, told the LA Times that the identity theft was discovered after the man was convicted of the bank robbery, and officials began preparing the paperwork to deport him, thinking he was a French citizen. French officials notified their US counterparts when they realised the man was not the real Robinet – but did not know what happened after that.
Mr Cruau said his office had contacted LAPD officials on Tuesday to let know the man identified as Robinet was an impostor.
"He fooled a lot of people – including us – years ago," said Mr Cruau.

Radical Ex-Convict Teaches at Columbia, Lectures at NYU

Here's one more example of misguided priorities in law enforcement in this country. This young lady (now 69) was convicted of participating in an armed robbery where two police officers and a Brinks guard were killed.  After serving 22 years in prison, she is now giving endowed lectures at New York University and is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University. Aside from a police frame-up, arrest with no conviction in 1990 in Cambridge, Massachusetts after I complained about police harassment, I was not convicted of any crime and served no time in prison. For 42 years since I graduated from Columbia University, police, crime families, Communists, charming Harvard University campus cops, and assorted FBI criminals took turns conducting a relentless campaign of character assassination, harassment, ridicule, sleep deprivation, surveillance, threats, and humiliation. This continues in 2013 though I am now 70 years old and survived all of the previous government abuses. Who sets the public safety priorities in  this country? Has organized crime taken control of the US government and universities?

The sons and daughters of those gunned down by Weather Underground killers have lived in obscurity. Meanwhile, Chesa Boudin has lived a pampered life surrounded by tenured academics and celebrity friends. His adoptive parents? The infamous pals of Barack Obama, Weathermen organizers Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
Chesa Boudin attended Yale, won a prestigious Rhodes scholarship, shilled for Hugo Chavez, wrote books and keeps a busy speaking schedule. He still stands by the Weathermen’s revolutionary agenda: “My parents were all dedicated to fighting US imperialism around the world. I’m dedicated to the same thing.”

For, as Yeats put it in his poem condemning the lockstep uniformity of the university’s intellectual elite: “All think what other people think.” And what they think is that it’s fine to hire a terrorist complicit in murder who lied to get herself out of prison.

Former Weather Underground radical Kathy Boudin — who spent 22 years in prison for an armored-car robbery that killed two cops and a Brinks guard — now holds a prestigious adjunct professorship at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, The Post has learned.
Boudin, 69, this year won another academic laurel — being named the Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence at NYU Law School, where last month she gave a lecture on “the politics of parole and re-entry.”

Tax Breaks for Felons

Tax breaks may be an incentive to hire felons under a proposed San Francisco ordinance. Why haven't tax breaks been used to hire persons with disabilities, whose unemployment and under employment rate is 70 percent for many years. Is there concern that ex-convicts may reoffend, while disabled persons remain passive and accept being shut out of society?
