Prominent Pediatric Doctor Convicted of Child Porn Possession

[From article]
A former top pediatric cancer doctor was sentenced to a year and one day in federal prison Friday following his guilty plea to a charge of accessing child pornography.
Before sentencing, Christopher Pelloski told federal Judge James Graham he had harmed children, shamed his family and burdened colleagues in the pediatric cancer field by committing a crime that meant he would never practice medicine again.
Pelloski, the former director of Ohio State University's pediatric cancer radiation program, said he also added to the pain felt by families whose children he was treating, since they had to wonder if he had ever harmed their children.
[. . .]
Graham also fined Pelloski $10,000, placed him on federal supervision for five years after his release from prison and strictly restricted his future Internet use. Pelloski must also register as a sex offender.

Appeal Denied Of Murder Conviction At Harvard University Dorm

[From article]
The Supreme Judicial Court on Tuesday rejected several arguments brought up on appeal by Jabrai Jordan Copney, including that improper instructions were given to jurors at trial and that the trial judge allowed evidence of Copney's prior bad behavior.
The SJC said there's "no reason for us to reduce the degree of guilt or order a new trial."

Testimony From Mental Patient Convicted of Murder

If there ever was an expert on legislation it is a self admitted mentally ill man convicted of killing another person. Who needs elections? Why not just allow persons found guilty and/or mentally ill to write the laws? They could not do any worse than the elected criminals class that writes them now.

Career Politician Criminals Thrive

A little perspective here. One Thomas Finneran, former Speaker of the MA House of Representatives and member of the Mass Bar Association pleaded guilty to a felony. He broadcasts weekday mornings on a 50,000 watt AM radio station in Boston. Buddy Cianci a former Mayor of Providence is on radio too. Why do these convicts get high paying jobs, while others with lesser convictions or no convictions at all (CORI records arrests not convictions) cannot get a job? Why does radio talk show host Eagan ignore those facts?
