Atheists Better at Mass Murder Than God Fearing Leaders

Atheists do not believe in God. Inalienable rights come from God. Are atheists entitled to any of those rights?

Why should the Constitution favor religious belief over unbelief -- atheism? History provides an answer. Many atheists are fond of reminding people that when it comes to crimes against humanity, Christianity has much to answer for including the Thirty Years War, the Inquisition, and involvement with slavery. But two out of three of the worst mass murderers in all of history were atheists and the third might best be described as pagan.
According to Rummel’s Death by Government, Stalin’s Union of Soviet Socialist Republics – an atheist state -- murdered about 62 million of its own people during its 75 years of existence. Between 1948 and 1976, another explicitly atheist state, Mao’s People’s Republic of China murdered 35 million of its own people primarily through deliberate starvation. The third worst mass murderer, Hitler’s Nazi Germany, killed 21 million persons.
This is not to say that every atheist is a potential mass murderer. There are ethical self-proclaimed atheists and unethical self-proclaimed Christians. But to paraphrase author and journalist Damon Runyon, mass murderers may not always be atheists, but that's the way to bet.
Why might atheists value other people’s lives less?

But the basic equality of man is not self-evident to an atheist who depends only on personal observation or scientific enquiry to discover truth.

It seems a small step from the scientific observation that people differ in key aspects to the conclusion that some people, who we think are ignorant, malicious, or self-centered, should not be trusted with positions of leadership, influence, or even the right to vote. Based on personal observation, might one conclude that some people have value and others do not?

It is insufficient to simply know what is right -- most of us must be motivated to do what is right.

The Soviet Union’s Stalin and China’s Mao didn’t murder tens of millions by themselves; they required hundreds of thousands or millions of ordinary people to assist in committing their horrible crimes. And if most of the population were atheists then this facilitated recruiting participants in their mass murders. If the police and people you respect are encouraging you to kill the villain of the hour -- whether he is called kulak, revisionist, or is a member of some racial or ethnic group -- why would an atheist hesitate?

Eliminating Differences For Diversity's Sake, Do Atheists Have God-given Rights?

Leading the war on religion, atheists do not believe in God, the source of inalienable rights. How and why do they claim constitutionally guaranteed rights if they negate the source of those rights? In the name of tolerance this author suggests merging all holidays together which is the opposite of diversity, conformity. What happened to respect for differences?

Obama is about as pure a post-modern agnostic as you can find. He’s about as Christian as your average gender studies professor at Swarthmore.
Religion is for the president a convenience, an instrument of power. As evidence of his Christianity he presents twenty-year attendance at Jeremiah Wright’s church, which was and is no more than a front for extreme, self-destructive black nationalism amplified by screechy anti-American propaganda, about as Christian an institution as the White Citizens’ Councils. (Oprah Winfrey didn’t quit by accident). After acceding to the presidency, Obama has hardly ever gone to church. It interferes with his golf game or just about anything else. The family didn’t even make it on Easter.

So Obama is neither Muslim nor Christian, but that is an entirely incomplete view of his belief system. Something is going on in an emotional sense that trumps (excuse the phrase) conventional religious belief. He seems almost always to side with Islamic society against Christendom, bending over backwards on occasion to set up false equivalences. At the very moment the Islamic State was lopping off the heads of Christians and Yazidis in Libya, Syria and Iraq, he invoked the Crusades at a National Prayer Breakfast as if this behavior from centuries ago were even marginally equivalent.

Who would do such a thing? Well, Barack Obama obviously. Although not a Muslim (or anything else) religiously, he tilts Islamic culturally. Why? First, he identifies with it from his Indonesian childhood and as the religion of his father who deserted him. But at least as importantly he does so because he is a “progressive.” It’s no accident that he became one in the absence of Islam or Christianity. “Progressives” are the real true believers. They are convinced (to an extent religious people could only dream and at a level of almost absolute blind faith) that everything bad that happens or happened internationally is or was the fault of the imperialistic West.

Now, although blinded by ideology, Obama must sense this massive contradiction on some level. Who wouldn’t? But he can’t face it. He has an extremely fragile personality that almost never admits error. But contradictions of this nature find their way out in some manner. The repressions of Arab society have resulted in a shame culture that lashes out at themselves and others and only enhances their backwardness. Obama too, in his way, seems to be very much part of that shame culture. It may sound excessively psychoanalytic, but he frequently acts as if he were a man ashamed and in denial, almost constitutionally unable to see even possible truths in the ideas of those that disagree with him.

Alone and adrift, he is naturally confused in his policies, which have helped turn the Middle East into a hellhole beyond recognition with hundreds of thousands of its benighted citizens currently headed for Europe, perhaps to change that continent and our civilization forever — very much for the worse.

here’s how Trump should have answered the man’s question. Is Obama a Muslim? No, but he’s something even worse — a transnational progressive.

Many liberals took gleeful notice. The Institute on Religion and Democracy’s Mark Tooley noted, “Secularists and their fellow travelers are ecstatic. The secular utopia about which John Lennon crooned is impending. Christianity is finally dying!”

The denominations that have lost the most “near Christians” are Catholic and Mainline Protestant. According to the Washington Times, “for every person who joined the Roman Catholic Church, six others were departing.” Additionally, in the last 50 years, the proportion of Americans belonging to one of the “Seven Sisters of Mainline Protestantism” has plummeted from one in six to one in sixteen.
From the Anglicans at Jamestown, to the Pilgrims at Plymouth, and the Puritans at Massachusetts Bay, virtually all of the Mainline Protestant churches in the U.S. can trace their roots to those who literally founded America.

Many of the first colleges and universities in the U.S. were founded by Mainline churches. What’s more, eight of the first fourteen U.S. Presidents were Episcopalian. The spiritual and political roots of America are deeply embedded in Mainline Protestantism.

Of course, it would be the denominations most infected with liberalism (Is there anything liberalism can’t corrupt?) that have seen the most decline.

In other words, in a tragic attempt to make themselves “relevant,” such men and women rejected virtually every tenet of the Christian faith, all the while still calling themselves “Christians.”
Unsurprisingly, it’s heretics such as these who’ve overseen such a precipitous decline in their denominations. After all, who wants to attend a church that rejects the supernatural and offers little more than worn-out platitudes and self-help advice? Who wants to attend a church that doesn’t talk about the forgiveness of sin (much less the existence of sin) and the hope of eternal life? Instead of pointing people to eternal truths, these liberal congregations have concerned themselves with “social activism.”

sadly many Catholics have been all too willing to use big government activism as a substitute for charity.
Sister Prejean is a great illustration of why the Catholic Church in the U.S. is in steep decline. Just as with its promotion of government healthcare, or a litany of other programs that push state paternalism over personal responsibility, for decades now the American Catholic Church has shown “indifference” toward eternity and judgement. Thus, anyone fervently seeking the truth on such matters is drawn elsewhere.

Faced with a corporate-secularist firestorm, Gov. Mike Pence said Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act would not protect Christian bakers or florists who refuse their services to same-sex weddings. And the white flag went up again.
Politics follows culture. And the cultural revolution of the ’60s is triumphant. Traditional Christianity, driven out of schools and the public square, is being whipped back into the churches and told to stay there.
America has gone over to the revolution.

No matter what the majority wanted, the minority prevailed, thanks to a Supreme Court whose dictates were never challenged by democratically elected presidents or Congresses, nor ever defied by a Christian majority.

First comes a call for tolerance for those who believe and behave differently. Then comes a plea for acceptance.
Next comes a demand for codifying in law a right to engage in actions formerly regarded as debased or criminal. Finally comes a demand to punish any and all who persist in their public conduct or their private business in defying the new moral order.
And so it goes with revolutions. On the assumption of power, revolutionaries become more intolerant than those they dispossessed.

How did this happen in a republic where minority rights exist but the majority rules? Why did Middle America meekly comply and not resist?

The old segregationists who, morally speaking, held a pair of deuces resisted. But a Christian majority that had the Faith that created Western civilization behind it rolled over and played dead.
Christians watched paralyzed as their country was taken from them.

When that father and daughter at Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Ind., said their religious beliefs forbade them from catering a same-sex wedding, they were subjected to a hailstorm of hate, but were also showered with $840,000 from folks who admired their moral courage.
Religious folks who do not believe in collaborating with what they think is wrong should go forth and do likewise.
Courage as well as cowardice is contagious.

Georgia Pushes Back Against Atheist Bullies

To best of anyone’s knowledge around Gainesville, no one associated with the football team has a problem with the voluntary prayers. The atheists says that’s beside the point citing the Establishment Clause.
The atheists apparently went undercover to photograph coaches engaged in what they considered to be unseemly and unconstitutional behavior with the teenage football players.
“We have received reports that CHS coaches have joined players in prayer while standing in a circle, hands interlocked,” the atheists breathlessly reported in their letter to the Hall County School District.

“The liberal atheist interest groups trying to bully Chestatee High School kids say they have a reason to believe that expressions of religious freedom are ‘not an isolated event’ in Northeast Georgia,” Collins wrote in a statement. “They’re right. In Hall County and throughout Georgia’s 9th district, we understand and respect the Constitution and cherish our right to worship in our own way.”

Hiram Sasser, of the Liberty Institute law firm, told me the atheists don’t have a prayer.

Separating Church and University

Harvard University was founded in the 17th Century as a training school for protestant ministers. 375 years later the President and Fellows of Harvard College run shuttle buses for students, faculty and staff traveling between campus buildings especially at night for safety in the urban environment Cambridge MA has become.  It is a wise use of the substantial resources of the university corporation. It is apparent that the focus of the university changed from religion to secular activities. Harvard, with its $32 billion endowment,  is best known in the 21st Century for training spin doctors, lawyers, and business titans. Harvard boasts of having 43 members of the current US Congress.

So it is not surprising to see lighted signs on their shuttle buses saying "Happy Holidays"during the December days leading up the Christmas and New Year vacation period.  There is no celebration of Christmas by the University, so as not to offend their Islamic sponsors and their atheistic professors. Harvard works to complete the separation of church from education, academic matters and the state.
