Urging readers to take "a nice deep breath" Mr. Holmes joins those in a coma who are clueless about the goals of Islamists. Quoting other PEW research, 13 percent of Muslims (about 195 million) support violence to implement Sharia Law. A larger number of Muslims prefer Sharia Law over the US Constitution. Arguments made by Mr. Holmes are shared by the White House who downplays threats from Muslim terrorists. Tell that to the families of those killed by gentle-persons who claim they are Muslims, though police, politicians and journalists are not sure. The Mayor of Philadelphia denies the gentleman who shot officer Hartnett, was a Muslim. The police chief in Cologne, Germany (now fired) wasn't sure if the sex offenders were really Muslim migrants. You can fool a lot of people for a long time while you breathe deeply Mr. Holmes.

We also need a president who understands the nature of the threat. Terrorism is the weapon of the weak. Islamist radicalism is not an “existential threat” to the United States, and those who think otherwise should take a deep breath and think about it: Can you imagine elections cancelled, Congress disbanded, mullahs outlawing booze and bikinis and Americans putting up with it? Of course not.
Let’s get real about ISIS and similar cults. They can kill, but they cannot convince. A Pew Global Attitudes poll found them to be overwhelmingly unpopular even in countries with majority Muslim populations. In the marketplace of ideas, freedom, opportunity and modernity – America’s ideas – will beat out medieval jihadism every time.
