A former white Washington D.C. official is suing the city, claiming he was harassed by black colleagues and was eventually fired over race.
Christopher Lyons says he was called 'cracker' and 'big white boy' while deputy fleet administrator at the Department of Public Works.
According to the lawsuit, colleagues also spat and threw paint on his truck while it was parked in the work lot.
His contract was terminated in September 2012 after just eight months and, on his last day in the office, he was left offensive notes on his door such as 'Get out white boy' and 'shut up honkey'.
The decision came after workers repeatedly refused to take orders from him, court documents seen by The Daily Caller suggest.
Lyons was hired on January 17, 2012 as the first and only white supervisor for DPW's Fleet Management Administration.
Lyons complained about the constant taunts to his boss Bill Howland. Instead of following up Lyon's concerns, Howland allegedly told colleagues he would fire him instead.
Howland, who resigned from his long-held post in June, also refused to discipline the employees Lyons accused of harassing him because, according to court documents, Howland 'liked them'.
