Disturbing video has surfaced online showing an unconscious man being mocked and laughed at by onlookers after he was beaten to a bloody pulp by a gang of youths.
“Yea, n—a, you just got knocked the f–k out!” one of the spectators can be heard saying, as the rest of the unruly mob howls in amazement.

While thousands of people poured into the city’s streets around 11 p.m. — including fans from a Reds baseball game that had also just let out — around 50 to 100 people began attacking police with fireworks, glass bottles and other items.
In the midst of the pandemonium, bystanders on the south side of nearby Government Square stumbled upon the unidentified assault victim and began ridiculing him.
The man had been attacked by a violent mob of rioters just moments before, according to an anonymous statement purportedly posted online by a Cincinnati police officer who was at the scene.

He didn’t do anything to deserve this beating except be white. I’m going to skip all the rhetoric and just say don’t we all matter??? This just pissed us all off. Time to rescue or at least try to get these thugs off of him. So we were sent in with shields and arrest team to do a victim rescue. Feel bad for the guy since he nor anyone deserved a beat down like that for no reason.”

A report by a police officer posted online said that police had to rescue the man from an attacking mob of about forty Black people.
Two officers were injured during the riot by people who were throwing fireworks, rocks, bottles and punches at the officers. Seven people were arrested including three juveniles.

In an anonymous posting on the website Cincinnati vs. Everyone, someone claiming to be an officer described how he and his colleagues then donned helmets and shields and began assembling in riot formation. Here’s what he claims that they saw next:
