State Rep. Has Epiphany(?) On Individual Rights. An Addition To The Constitution?
Councillor Marjorie C. Decker, who grew up in Cambridge public housing, said she thought it was important to safeguard the dignity and rights of public housing tenants. “It is about trying to protect the individual rights and liberties of tenants who live in public housing at the same time as somebody has to protect the children. This is an issue [the children] can’t protect themselves for,” Decker said. Civil libertarian Rep. Decker has suddenly discovered individual rights? For the many years as a city councilor she joined the other collectivists on the council arguing for collective rights, of women, homosexuals, black Americans, Muslims, Illegal immigrants. Individual rights? What individual rights? I don't got to give you no stinkin' individual rights. If you got no group, or no power in Cambridge, you get no individual rights. You want individual rights go to Russia. Does Harvard University teach politicians how to mouth words as they did with Obama, and Deval Patrick?
