New York Post Demonizes Vulnerable Persons

New York Post continues its long history of demonizing and negative stereotyping of persons with disabilities. (REUVEN FENTON, "B'klyn boarding homes full of degenerates," New York Post, August 2, 2010) In this one article editors permit these references:
Equating "psych patients" with "homeless, ex-cons, pedophiles, and junkies."
Equating "psychiatric patients" with "paroled ex-cons, and undesirables."
Under what system of respect for vulnerable persons is this permitted? Would the Post editors allow references to black Americans, illegal aliens, or homosexuals being equated with these other groups?

US Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott lost his position for much less than this. Shirley Sherrod was fired for less. One gentle Connecticut black man murdered eight white men due to paranoia about racism aftey he was caught stealing. Why does the New York Post permit this public abuse of persons with diabilities which stirs up animosity toward law abiding vulnerable citizens?
