Ranking Muslim Cleric Calls Upon Muslim Nations To Expel Zionists From Region

Iran’s Friday Prayers Leader, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, a radical Shiite cleric whose position grants him enormous influence in Tehran and who is appointed directly by Iran’s Supreme Leader, called on Friday for the Muslim nations of the world to “unite and expel the Zionists from this region.”



The prayer leader, who often leads chants of ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel,’ took the time to thank Iran’s negotiators for reaching an agreement he believed was favorable to the regime in Tehran, Iran’s state-run IRIB news service reported.

“This regime [Israel] is amongst the vilest, inhuman and bloodthirsty regimes in the world, and Muslim nations must unite and expel the Zionists from this region if they want to live in peace and security,” Kashani added.
By calling for the expulsion of “Zionists,” Kashani specifically singles out the Jews of Israel, and not its Arab population.
The cleric told the crowd that the United States–which is “the biggest supporter of terrorism in the world,” according to Kashani–is in cahoots with not only Saudi Arabia and Israel, but also with the Islamic State terror group. The three supposed allies of the U.S. are responsible for the poor conditions of Palestinians, he alleged.



“The U.S. trains and exports terrorists,” he told the Tehran University audience. “Terrorism is a tool in the hands of global powers. They cultivate and nourish terrorism, and they export terrorism,” he said of the U.S. and world powers.

The Duke Chronicle reported junior guard Rasheed Sulaimon, who became Mike Krzyzewski’s first dismissal in 35 years as coach when Sulaimon was booted from the Blue Devils in late January, twice has been accused of sexual assault — and the basketball program’s honchos knew about it since March 2014.
The report says two female students separately alleged — in front of groups of other students at campus retreats — that they were sexually assaulted by Sulaimon, a 20-year-old Houston native. Neither woman pursued a complaint with the Office of Student Conduct, according to the student newspaper. Because of confidentiality rules, it is unknown whether the university initiated its own probe if administrators became aware of an alleged sexual assault, as legally obligated by Title IX.

Former Harvard Law student and SAC Capital Advisors portfolio manager Mathew Martoma was found guilty of two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud Thursday afternoon. The 39-year-old Martoma faces a maximum sentence of 45 years.

In a scheme that netted SAC Capital $275 million and scored a $9.3 million bonus for Martoma, he and colleagues made trades based on insider information about the testing of a drug to potentially cure Alzheimer’s, according the federalcomplaint against Martoma.

During the court proceedings, it was also discovered that Martoma was expelled from Harvard Law School in 1999 for creating a false transcript and using it to apply for clerkships with federal judges.

Martoma came to Harvard Law School after graduating from Duke University. Following his expulsion from Harvard Law School, Martoma applied to and was accepted to Stanford Business School, where he earned an MBA in 2003.

The court documents also revealed that Martoma, who changed his name from Ajai Mathew Thomas to Mathew Martoma after his expulsion, tried to deceive the Law School Administrative Board during his hearing there. Martoma altered emails and submitted a counterfeit report from a computer forensics firm that he created to hide his activities from the Ad Board.

Martoma was the eighth SAC Capital employee to plead guilty or be convicted of insider trading. Martoma’s lawyer told news outlets that his client planned to appeal.

Expelled, Film About Academic Censorship: Review

This 2008 film by Ben Stein and Kevin Miller focuses on censorship of the subject of "intelligent design" among academics. It is one of several areas where academic freedom is under attack.
There is no discussion of what the term God means. Similarly scientific terms are seldom defined. Some of the scholars interviewed recognized that terms need definition, e.g. what is a species? Even the most intense atheists interviewed recognized that scientists do not know where life and came from. They know it came from a cell, a molecule. But today there is so much known about these units that there are more questions than before.

Dr. Marcij Giertych says that there is more freedom in Poland regarding this question than in the United States. Dr. Alister E. McGrath of Oxford University, said, "Some people are so deeply entrenched in their own world view, that they will simply not countenance alternatives." That problem extends far beyond this question. The difficulty of rational debate applies to Global Warming too.

Stein shows a connection between the eugenics movement which was adopted by the Nazis and rejection of religion by scientists. There's a phrase in German which means "It always began that way. How to get rid of useless people."

Dr. Richard Weikart said, "Evil can be rationalized as science. Hitler thought he was doing good." Today in America research scientists who conduct involuntary experiments using humans without consent defend their work the same way the Nazi doctors did. They say the benefit to society outweighs the harm to individuals.


Dr. David Berlinsky said, "There is academic freedom as long as you're on the correct side of the wall. But if you're on the wrong side of the wall you lose tenure." In December 2001 the faculty at Harvard University voted to remove the course listings of a young professor. The faculty said he uttered hate speech but provided no evidence. This is a thought provoking film whether you believe in religion or not. It shows a pattern affecting free speech but also freedom in the United States. There is a book by the same name on which this film was based.
