It was years ago when a young Jamison Go first saw the fighting robot show “BattleBots” on television that he decided he wanted to become an engineer. More than a decade later, Go is in the midst of a Ph.D. program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and had the chance to throw a robot of his own into battle during an appearance on the show last week.

Only one team, Overhaul, has advanced in the tournament. That fight will air July 21.

Keep Your Friends Close, Your Enemies Closer

The Republican establishment may have finally figured out a way to defeat Donald Trump.
They’re endorsing him.
It’s not that they’re exactly embracing The Donald. But they’re at least saying that if you put a gun to their heads and told them they had to choose between Trump and Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, then they might, perhaps, maybe, vote for Trump — at least if you let them hold their noses.

Consider the prominent Republicans in Name Only who have sort of come out for Trump lately. Well, there’s Bob Dole, age 137, who said of Cruz, “Nobody likes him.”
Really, senator? Nobody? Personally, I first took a shine to Cruz when The New York Times reported that he was the most despised freshman member of the Senate in 60 years. You can’t buy that kind of ink. Every knock a boost!

Cruz. Gov. Terry Branstad of Iowa, who was first elected governor in 1982, came out against Cruz because of his opposition to ethanol subsidies. Did I mention that Branstad’s son is a lobbyist for the ethanol industry and has a driving record that would have made the late Ted Kennedy blanch?

United States Is Under Attack From Within and Without Citizen Defenders Needed

I think it makes sense to pick one thing -- just one -- and focus on it like a laser. Educate yourself on the subject matter. Join organizations that are devoted to your issue. Educate others. Be on a mission. Make your area of budding expertise a centerpiece of interactions. Once you start weaving your issue into daily conversations, it becomes easier and easier to do.



I’ve been surprised at how after sharing one carefully selected fact with uninformed individuals, they are intrigued. When I tell people that one in four women in Sweden are raped and that the vast majority of the rapists are Muslims, people tell me they’ve never heard that before and they appear genuinely disturbed. So I follow up. I share a little bit more and give them an article to read. (Reading material is also useful for people who don’t believe what I’ve told them.) It plants a seed. Perhaps nothing will come of it, but for some, perhaps it will be the beginning of a journey.

If you’re interested in how our schools are peddling propaganda, whitewashing Islam and teaching our kids that white people are racist, run for a seat on the School Board. If you want to make sure your town stays safe and maintains its character, run for City Council.
We must build a critical mass of activists (or “courageous conservatives” as Ted Cruz says), knowing what we are up against, knowing this is going to be a long battle -- one we may not see the results of in our lifetime. And one we may not win.
But we must take it on.

Among them are the Israelis and their powerful lobby AIPAC, the Saudis and their Sunni allies on the Persian Gulf, a near unanimity of Republicans and a plurality of Democrats in Congress.

First, the alternative to a truce — breaking off of negotiations, doubling down on demands Iran dismantle all nuclear facilities, tougher sanctions — inevitably leads to war. And we all know it.

Why Iran wants to avoid war is obvious. Given U.S. air, missile and naval power, and cyberwarfare capabilities, a war with the United States would do to Iran what we did to Iraq, smash it up, set it back decades, perhaps break up the country.

This week, the Saudis sent their air force against the Houthi rebels who had seized the capital of Sanaa, driven out the president, and have now driven south to Aden to take over half of the country.
Why is the Saudi air force attacking the Houthis?
The Houthis belong to a sect close to the Shiite and are supported by Iran.

Can President Declare Peace Against Nation Making War on U.S.?

No fighting in Pakistan. Better to play along with the “war of necessity” charade. Why Pakistan could pretend to be an ally and charge the U.S. exorbitant rates for the privilege of supplying its pointless military endeavor over Pakistani roads. Clever, wasn’t it?
Brilliant. Positively brilliant. Thousands of American troops dangling at the end of a lifeline ultimately controlled by the sponsors of al Qaeda wasting billions of dollars on Obama’s strategy.
If ruse it was then it was eminently successful. Gall notes that, even after the Raid, even after burying Osama at sea so as not to offend … well who? … Obama has still not identified the principal enemy as Pakistan. In fact he may never. “The United States was neither speaking out against Pakistan nor changing its policy toward a government that was exporting terrorism … after 13 years, more than a trillion dollars spent, 120,000 foreign troops deployed at the height of the war and tens of thousands of lives lost … the real enemy remains at large.” There are bigger considerations, you know.
It’s a monstrous accusation, all the more horrifying because it might well be true. Where does an American president get the power to foist a lie upon an entire nation in order to take upon himself the burden of truth so that all of his countrymen might sleep soundly in their imagined security?

Is it like the situation in Syria? Is Assad the enemy of the United States? Are the rebel groups the enemy of the United States? Al Qaeda is a part of the rebel groups. Is it like the jaquar attacking the caiman? Who do we root for? Obama roots for the rebels, but does not explain why their interests are the same as ours. One caller to the Howie Carr radio show in Boston on Thursday September 5, 2013 suggested it was about a natural gas pipeline from Qatar to Europe. That it is opposed by Saudi Arabia due to their dwindling oil resources. Why is that not an issue for the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee? The Chairman, Robert Menendez, Democrat from New Jersey opened the hearing stating plainly that the decision whether to support the resolution would be based upon national security interests. Without missing a beat he shifted his opening remarks to focus on the use of chemical and biological weapons. There was little discussion of how the situation in Syria was a matter of national security for the United States. So even the chairman was misguided if not intentionally misleading. There is so much distortion in the public discourse it explains why so many civilians remain clueless about what the elected officials are doing and how much money they waste and steal. What's it gonna be? The jaguar or the caiman?

Illegal Aliens, Enemy Combatants Get Better Court Access

Obama's illegal alien uncle is getting an aggressive defense by a reputable attorney. Why do non citizens get better access to the courts than citizens? Numerous high powered liberal lawyers volunteered to represent detainees in Guantanamo Naval Prison. Some of them were captured while attacking American soldiers in Afghanistan. They were designated enemy combatants.

After I complained about police harassment, Cambridge police arrested me. The courts assigned to me seven taxpayer funded lawyers. They were also paid by others (police?) to not put on any defense. They earned the money from others. I fired all seven. The last one warned me that if I got on the stand and told my story the judge would call out psychiatrists and have me put into a hospital. He said the judge told him that. I am an American citizen with a degree from a prominent University. What are the priorities of the legal profession and the courts?

Enemy Combatants Enjoy Rights Denied to Persons with Disabilities


The President of the US, the agent of hope and change, with his partner US Attorney General Eric Holder demand that enemy combatants enjoy US Constitutional rights. Concurrently lawyers, judges and courts deny to persons with disabilities the right to have children.

While the New York Times vigorously supports the rights of persons of color, homosexuals, illegal aliens, enemy combatants and women, the editors ignore an overt action by courts in violation of US and state laws banning disability based discrimination. Is it New York Times policy to deny to persons with disabilities Equal Protection Rights?

According to this report only with approval of a psychiatrist (and not always then) can a person have a child if they are perceived to have a disability. Yet the alleged often taxpayer funded disability rights organizations and the ACLU support this administration. Makes you wonder what the standards, focus and priorities are for these organizations. NAMI is known to be a front organization for the drug companies so they are not expected to support any Constitutional Rights.

Even in this report the idea of an actual illness is not alleged, only symptoms, which is what psychiatrists treat--speecha nd behavior that they do not like or they do not understand. Can we say that psychiaysts are the Conformist Party police?

During a hearing to transfer guardianship to the Kehoes, Scott Kehoe said his wife had paranoid schizophrenia. Ms. Kehoe’s psychiatrist listed the diagnosis as a “psychotic disorder not otherwise specified.” Ms. Kehoe takes an antipsychotic to control her symptoms.

Before her diagnosis in 2001, Ms. Kehoe told the judge, she had self-medicated, and that was the reason for her arrest on charges of cocaine use and driving under the influence.

Adoption experts said that mental illness was not a bar to adoption if the illness was under control and the patient went to doctor’s appointments and took medications. And Ms. Kehoe’s psychiatrist wrote a letter saying she would be a good mother because her disease had been fully controlled for eight years and she currently had no symptoms.

Ms. Baker, however, said she was stunned at the disclosure of Ms. Kehoe’s mental illness, which she believes she should have known in advance. And she became concerned that Ms. Kehoe might relapse and be unable to take care of the twins.

“I’m not going to be the one that’s going to feel guilty if something happens,” Ms. Baker said.

Ms. Kehoe said Ms. Baker’s decision made no sense in light of her doctor’s statement and other letters of strong support. “Does she really think she knows better than a psychiatrist who has known me for nine years?” Ms. Kehoe said.

Instead, she says, Ms. Baker “legally stole our babies from us.”

Because Michigan law states that surrogacy contracts are void and unenforceable, it was an easy matter for Ms. Baker to go to court and have the Kehoes’ guardianship rescinded."
