Justice of Supreme Court Of U.S. Affirms Support For Affirmative Action

Truly amazing how otherwise rational people can twist logic to support an irrational result. When I was a student at law school in 1970, I ran out of money. The school's catalog stated the university would ensure that any student who matriculated would have sufficient funds to finish the courses. But when I asked the dean for funds he told me, "If you were black or Hispanic I could give you money. But you are not and I can't." That was before affirmative action became an institution, making overt discrimination  legal. And Justice Sotomayor wants to continue this abomination. She makes no distinction between children of poor white parents and children of wealthy and powerful black and Hispanic parents. This system punishes white people who did no wrong, and rewards black people who suffered no harm. It is a program to ensure dividing the nation by race and exacerbating the animosity.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor said she supports affirmative action in higher education because she believes that alternatives based on geographic or economic status don’t work to ensure a diverse student body.
