Harvard University Promotes Selective Diversity

"Diversity Dialogues, a popular lecture series designed to foster discussion of diversity among Harvard’s faculty and staff. [. . .]  are one piece of a larger plan to make Harvard [. . .]  a diverse institution.” If "Diversity Dialogues Series is aimed at Harvard faculty and staff, [but] University affiliates and members of the public are welcome to participate." why is Harvard's housing portfolio open only to Harvard affiliates? Does living near to non Harvard humans expose Harvard people to dangerous ideas, ethnicities, sexual preferences?  It is curious that "former University President Lawrence H. Summer’s establish[ed] two task forces in 2005 to address issues of diversity among faculty and staff at Harvard." and then the university's intolerance of diverse ideas led to his resignation.
