Soothsayers Emily Rooney and Chris Matthews see the world through liberal filters. Whatever they say can be relied upon as spin repeating the Democratic Party line. That is not to say that conservative politicians and corporate leaders do not spin facts as well and as often. Government and private entities intentionally mislead and deceive ordinary citizens. That prevents solving problems. Rooney and Matthews are part of the problem not the solution. They are too close to politicians to be able to speak truth; two of many journalists who mislead voters and taxpayers. Solving problems is a business. Not solving them makes the search last forever. As Howie Carr observes the protocol is "Don't kill the job."
