Post Ignores Increased Costs
Editorial states "inflation has been flat," to justify no cost of living increase for Social Security recipients. (Editorial, "Bam's desperate bribe," New York Post, October 20, 2010) Prices remain the same while product sizes shrink. Ice cream was sold in 64 ounce containers, now they are 48. Toilet paper sheets are one quarter inch smaller. Tuna fish tins are 5 ounces no longer 6. Gasoline prices remain high after summer's end. Four increases in costs (inflation) ignored by the Post.
