Jesse Jackson "blamed the closure of Carver High School [. . .] for the violence." Then the teens who committed the crime are innocent?
US AG Holder and US Secretary of Education Duncan "met with Mayor Richard M. Daley and other officials at the Four Seasons Hotel" That's where one learns about causes of violence. It must be a high crime area like government buildings.
To combat "violence, [Chicago] Mayor Daley has called for more communication between police and schools. He also said he plans to use $1 million [. . .] for an after-school jobs program." In 1991 Princeton Professor John Di Iulio said there were 40 million young men who are godless, fatherless and jobless. Politicians believe they can eliminate teen violence by providing jobs.
