Speedy Justice in Patient Killing

Two days after a licensed gunman shot dead a person with a disability the DA says it was lawful. Why does it take two years or more to decide the guilt of an ordinary person? Did Langone get preferential treatment? Is he connected politically? Journalists continue to demonize the murder victim. The killing may be technically legal. It is offensively immoral. Why do laws allow loaded weapons by private persons in a treatment facility? Why do police vigorously support this killing? In enlightened jurisdictions violent persons can be disarmed with proper training. Langone was trained in firearms. Was he trained to deal with disturbed persons without deadly force?
