After all, Barack Obama has been broadcasting the message to the world that even if our Border Agents contract bacterial pneumonia and our schoolchildren are paralyzed and placed on breathing tubes, granting sick illegals access to America takes precedence over the safety and well-being of the people he vowed to protect.

America may be on the precipice of a pandemic that could kill 50% of the world’s population and Barack Obama decides now is the time to announce that he’s clearing the way for refugee status visas for 70,000 more people, many of whom will undoubtedly be infected with viruses and pathogens foreign to American soil.
In Third World countries, rushing to America in time for amnesty is all the rage right now. If Time magazine is correct, Duncan was apparently planning to meet up with an illegal family already here.

Never mind the threat to 300 million people. If Thomas Eric Duncan somehow manages to survive, which looks iffy right now, despite his bringing Ebola into the U.S., Barack Obama has promised the Liberian refugee that ‘No Force On Earth’ will stop him from becoming an American citizen.

Memorial Service For Mother Killed By Bicyclist

The Connecticut mom who died after being struck by a cyclist in Central Park was remembered as a do-gooder who was “bursting at the seams with life” in a heart-wrenching funeral Wednesday.
Nearly 300 mourners packed the Congregation B’nai Israel in Bridgeport to say a tearful goodbye to Jillian Tarlov, who died on Sunday after she was left brain dead in last Thursday’s accident.
Tarlov, 58, had just bought her daughter Anna “the most beautiful birthday dress” to celebrate her 23rd birthday and was walking through Central Park when biker Jason Marshall plowed into her.
“She said, ‘”All I had planned today is celebrating my baby girl,’” a tearful Anna Wittman recalled her mom replying to a text. “She loved birthdays more than anything. She was so happy. I kissed her goodbye and said I love you.”

“I am deeply, deeply saddened about the accidental collision that I had with Ms. Jill Tarlov last week and her subsequent passing,” said Marshall, 31, in a statement released by his attorney. “Please know that this was an unavoidable accident.”
Witnesses said Marshall was speeding down West Drive and tried to swerve around Tarlov, rather than brake just moments before he careened into Tarlov on his $4,000 Jamis Eclipse bike.

But he told cops he was traveling about 8 or 9 mph at the time of impact, sources said.

Bicyclists appear to enjoy a special entitlement over pedestrians and cars. They can ignore traffic signals and demand that pedestrians move out of their way. In Cambridge MA limousine liberals promote bicycles vigorously to show how concerned and good they are. Often riding on sidewalks contrary to local ordinance, they endanger and scare pedestrians by demanding that people move out of the way. How often is it heard from morally superior bicyclists "On your left" as they near your safety zone. Is that a mandatory signal for pedestrians to yield to bicycles? Instead of showing respect for others, slowing down and waiting for an opportunity to pass the slower moving human,  they expect the pedestrian to make way for them so that they can continue to save the planet. It is always about doing good while harming others. The failure of schools and colleges to teach young people how to think and to have respect for others indicates misguided priorities.

A cyclist pedaling a $4,000 racing bike at high speed through Central Park slammed into a suburban mom in town shopping for her daughter’s birthday present — leaving the woman brain-dead, sources said.
Jill Tarlov, 59, of Fairfield, Conn., the wife of a CBS executive, was in a crosswalk near 63rd Street when Jason Marshall, 31, came barreling along West Drive at around 4:30 p.m. and yelled for her to get out of his way, law enforcement sources said.

Irving Schachter was struck in the park Aug. 3 and died two days later at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

President Obama has demonstrated, time and again, that he has no respect for the Constitution's limitations on his power. Despite his oath of office, to see that the laws are faithfully executed, Barack Obama has unilaterally changed welfare reform laws, by eliminating the work requirement passed by Congress during the Clinton administration.
He has repeatedly and unilaterally changed or waived provisions of the ObamaCare law passed by Congress during his own administration.
President Obama has ordered Border Patrol agents not to carry out provisions of the immigration laws that he does not like. We see the results today in the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants entering the country unimpeded.
President Obama's oath of office obviously means no more to him than his oft-repeated promise that "you can keep your own doctor" under ObamaCare.
Why do we have a Constitution of the United States if a president can ignore it without any consequences?

With neither the Constitution, nor the voters, nor the threat of impeachment to stop him, Barack Obama has clear sailing to use his powers however he chooses.
Far from seeing his power diminish in his last years, President Obama can extend his power even beyond the end of his administration by appointing federal judges who share his disregard of the Constitution and can enact his far-left agenda into law from the bench, when it cannot be enacted into law by the Congress.

Obama Continues to Demonstrate Contempt For The Constitution

Very soon after first taking office, as I've reported previously, President Obama actually prevented trials from being held accusing him of unilaterally using "renditions" -- kidnapping alleged terrorists from the streets of their countries to be taken to nations known for torturing suspects. He used the state secrets privilege to close off our system of justice more often than Bush ever did. Since then, Obama has not forbade renditions. And because renditions are classified, we don't know who has been taken where.
And as I often remind you, because most of the media has gone to sleep on this, in 2011, Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, which, for the first time in our history, permitted the military to arrest and detain U.S. citizens indefinitely -- including in this country -- for allegedly being "associated" with terrorists, without evidence presented before an American court.

in case of a war or national emergency, the federal government has the authority to take over almost every aspect of American society. Food, livestock, farming equipment, manufacturing, industry, energy, transportation, hospitals, health care facilities, water resources, defense and construction."
All of this could come under the control of President Obama -- or whoever is holding the office.
"The order empowers the president to dispense these vast resources as he sees fit during a national crisis [. . .]
"The executive branch is arrogating responsibilities precluded by the Constitution without even asking the permission of Congress. The order gives Mr. Obama a blank check to erect a centralized authoritarian state ..."

How many kids in school now (and those to come) have any debatable idea of what's going on with our Constitution? Do they understand how Obama's uses of executive power have changed what used to be America's rule of law and our globally distinctive values?
