Boston Police Superintendent Robert Merner said the killings happened about 4 a.m. outside of a Dorchester house party as the four victims sat in a car.

Merner said authorities in Trinidad told police Pierre was a suspect in shootings there as well. U.S. Marshals from the Boston office as well as detectives with the city’s fugitive unit hauled Pierre back to Boston in 2013.
Pierre faces mandatory life in prison when he is sentenced Tuesday in Suffolk Superior Court. Merner was quick to praise the witnesses who testified against Pierre.
“You have dogged determination by police in every case, but you can have all the dogged determination you want,” he said. “The heroes are the people who raise their hand and testify in court. If people don’t raise their hands in court, this case doesn’t move.”
