Teen Gang Attacks Boston Policemen
[From article]
At 11 a.m. yesterday, a male and female police
officer went to Wayne Street to serve a probation warrant on Woobenson Morissett, 19, of Dorchester for defaulting on court
appearances, police said.
Cops said they were initially told by Morissett’s family that he was not at home, but they were
allowed to search the apartment.
The officers found Morissett in the apartment building’s rear stairwell, where police said Morissett attacked them, and while police were struggling with him, several of his relatives then poured out of two apartments and joined in the fight.
“Numerous occupants (mostly the suspect’s family members) exited from Apt. #4 and Apt. #3, entered the stairwell and began
assaulting the officers in an effort to free the suspect and prevent him from being arrested,” police stated in a report. “During the altercation, officers were kicked, punched and choked by
numerous suspects.”
Cops used pepper spray to defend themselves and several officers raced to the scene to assist.
