This advocacy by Cosby raises troubling questions. Are black journalists and readers viewing a different reality from white journalists and readers? Few rational observers believe that any journalist is objective. Everyone has his or her own prejudices. How can anyone expect any journalist to be objective, i.e. neutral? But also why does Cosby speak only to black journalists? His successful career was among white and black audiences. Is he abandoning his white audience and admirers?
