Grand Re-opening, Harvard University's Renovated Truck Depot (AKA Harvard University Art Museum)

After three years of limited access to Harvard University's truck depot for construction vehicles only, in November 2014 the university re-opened its diversity truck program to all kinds of trucks, including but not limited to delivery, party equipment trucks and construction equipment. These are only snapshots. There are no 24/7 video cameras available to me to show the entire operation of trucks visiting this renovated truck depot.

On Sunday, crowds gathered for the official opening of the renovated museums, which had been under construction for years.

One truck on each side of Broadway in No Stopping Zones

An article in the Harvard University Crimson, (student daily newspaper) celebrating the opening of the new truck depot reported statistics on the number of hours of construction. But not mentioned is the number of hours of noise and air pollution causing discomfort and disruption of lives of neighbors of the new truck depot. In May 2014 Harvard University officials boasted to city officials and selected neighbors "Construction was finished."  Not actual abutters, but leadership of neighborhood associations who live a few blocks away.  When I inquired of the mitigation office why construction was continuing as per first two images here and previous posts, the official explained that "They meant to say outside construction was finished." So the steam cleaning of the sidewalks was inside? Or was it performance art?

When I posted a comment about the omission of statistics of noise, another reader asked how I could be so negative? Huh? Here is another problem with what highly educated privileged citizens want. They do not want to know about any harm to others from their lifestyle. They want to know about how great their lives are and how selflessly they serve humanity. I am sorry to disturb their world view but here it is

On the day of the official grand re-opening a special brigade of young men and women, dressed in all black arrived for the ceremonies. The presence of so many black clad trained young men and women, raised again suspicion among some that Harvard University is a base venue where satanists are active and influence university policies.

It does explain why the university supports so many irrational policies. That includes but is not limited to creating a new bureaucracy for the administration of criminal justice for women who complain about rape. Non students must go to ordinary city police, state prosecutors and court system to get relief.

The demands that everyone on campus think the same is another questionable pattern of conduct compelled by the university administration. The prohibition of saying certain words and supporting conservative and Republican candidates is another curious policy for all campus affiliates.

Friday November 7, 2014 and Wednesday November 12, 2014 the parade of trucks continued till 11:00 PM contrary to city ordinance. This operation is run by Harvard University campus police who are negligently trained and get upset when I mention that fact. They are as intolerant of criticism as the black racist homosexuals who harass me every day.
