British Bias Same As in USA

In the report of the attack on Berlusconi at
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8410946.stm
it says "The alleged attacker, who has a history of mental illness,"
Why is that "fact" prominent? There is no evidence of causal connection between mental illness and crime or violence. Police, prosecutors, politicians and journalists perpetuate this nonsense which becomes accepted as true. Nazi doctors medicalized social problems which is what psychiatrists do. What is source of history? No privacy laws in UK? It suggests that mental illness causes crime, which is irrational. Pervasive bias demonizing persons with disabilities.

They are obviously pre-empting the situation and making it appear "normal" that ONLY a mental case would attack Belusconi.
If Brown was attacked the same would happen here, and if he or she was not in poor mental state, then they would make sure they were later.
Such is the way our real "freedom" has deteriorated.
This morning on the Toady programme I had to turn off the sickening interview with Sir Willy Nobody, chairman of the committee responsible for the stupid new laws on people in contact with children.
Monty Python should be turning in the grave to have missed out on such nonsense, and where on earth does this government find this endless belt of outrageous non-human beings to implement their loony policies?
