Indifference is Pervasive
Indifference toward abuse of vulnerable persons is pervasive among human services professionals. They focus on not offending the three wealthy and powerful groups who dominate the attention of journalists, politicians and educators--multi millionaire tenured Harvard professors, millionaire thug athletes and homosexual political leaders. Persons with disabilities and elders are abused; police and the state refuse to act. They use psychiatry as an excuse. If the abuse victim admits being mentally ill then the psychiatric industry will protect their new patient. Otherwise they just ignore it contrary to law.
