Bigotry as Diversity?
US has a Black President. MA and NY Governors are black. Mayor of Cambridge is a black lesbian. Presidents of Harvard and MIT are women. There are women and Black US Senators and Congressmen, Black multi millionaire tenured faculty members, celebrities and athletes. No mention of persons with disabilities as a part of Harvard's celebrated diversity, except as patients for Harvard psychiatrists and recipients of goods and services from human services corporations. Are all persons with disabilities low intellect with no education? Or is there an unlawful pervasive barrier from elitist journalists and overachievers at upscale colleges? Neither Harvard nor governments count persons with disabilities when they survey their diversity. Are there just too many persons with disabilities who do not need any help due to their wealth and political power?
