Lying Not to Thee but to Them


CIA Director Panetta said, "It is not our policy or practice to mislead Congress." (Editorial, "PELOSI IN A PICKLE," New York Post, May 16, 2009)
Panetta's assurance does not reassure. He did not say it never happens. He did not say that the CIA always tells the truth. Deception is a major espionage tool. Spies use willing journalists to publish their version of reality
Pelosi and politicians are another matter.
