Cambridge Spending Other People's Money Society 2016 Campaign

Politicians enjoy taking credit for the work of others. Taxpayers make it possible for the Spending Other People's Money Society to spend money. Vice Chairman of Cambridge chapter of the SOPMS does not thank taxpayers. He acts as if it was his money to spend. Troubling ideas in his essay include: "universal, high-quality early childhood education for all children." That moves closer to where government bureaucrats rear children. This politician supports more scrutiny by government psychiatrists. He speaks for everyone. How does he know that? Cambridge taxpayers are supporting neighboring cities and towns? 

The Vice Mayor  mentions "homelessness and [the] opioid crisis." How much money is spent on studies, plans, and providing blankets rather than homes to these people? What about the tsunami of illegal drugs across the open southern border? Who are the "we?" What is "socially just?" Who is included in "one another?" and "all our residents?" Some Cambridge citizens  remain outside the interests of this globally concerned politician, who boasts of how he spends US, MA and Cambridge taxpayer funds. No mention of billion dollar online businesses making money from civilian messages and searches. No mention of weak security for online medical records. Why does clueless government fail to protect citizens from harm?

I personally am excited to see is the $1.3 million that will go toward moving Cambridge closer to affordable, universal, high-quality early childhood education for all children.

There isn’t a person in our city administration who doesn’t understand and isn’t committed to finding ways to maintain affordable housing in Cambridge, and we will continue to direct funds to try and stabilize an ever-increasing housing market that is leading to higher rent and home ownership prices, not just in Cambridge but in the entire Metro Boston area.

Harvard University Studies Sexual Behavior of Students For Federal Government

After studying campus sexual practices, will the federal government issue guidelines for proper behavior? The city of Cambridge appropriates taxpayer funds to rear children just as predicted by George Orwell. Government will control all behavior especially mating and rearing children. Will that end all freedom to be bad and to have fun? Will everyone strive to be conformist and obedient?

US Government Publishes Website Explaining to Black Men How To Rear Their Children

This is one practice predicted by George Orwell that the government would raise children not parents. The destruction of marriage is well on its way and the government is getting ready take over rearing children.

If you're a black father reading this, have you ever wondered whether you should spend time with your kids? The federal government thinks this question stumps a lot of you, so it has set up a website called Fatherhood.gov to give you some clues to the answer. The site doesn't explicitly say "black," but most of the photos and literature for it feature black dads.

4) Another web page mentions something called the "National Park Service." Apparently this organization has parks all over America! A black father could find a park and take his child to one of them! (Though hopefully not a national park like Mount Rainier, where black people don't feel welcome!)
5) The website also suggests that black dads take their kids to something called "public libraries," which apparently have a lot of books – all of which are free! There is even a link that shows black fathers how to search for these "public libraries" in their neighborhoods.
6) There is an online form where black dads are invited to take a pledge to take care of their black children. Once they fill out the form, they are pledged to take care of their kids!
7) There is even a link to a National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse Hotline, where black dads can call the government to find out how to be responsible dads. Just try not to abuse your kids while you are waiting on hold!

6) If anyone else but the federal government produced such a patronizing website for black people, how many seconds would it take for him to be labeled as racist?
7) Which is worse: the epidemic of single parenting in the black community or the federal government thinking it can be fixed by giving irresponsible black dads a website to teach them how to feel affection for their kids?

The sad truth is that this campaign is probably necessary. We can’t openly discuss the problems with contemporary black culture without being called racists. So the federal government ends up patronizing black males.

Sweden Rethinks Child Punishment

A best-selling Swedish academic has concluded that permissive parenting is creating a generation of arrogant young adults who lack social empathy, personal resilience and, after a childhood of pampering, are destined to be bitterly disappointed in life.
“Saying 'no’ to a child is not the same as beating a child. Parents should act like parents, not best friends,” says David Eberhard, psychiatrist, father of six and author of How Children Took Power. “They should prepare their kids for adult life by teaching them how to behave, not treat them like princes or princesses. In Sweden, they think that any form of intervention against the child is a sort of molesting.

“What strikes me as the most disturbing feature of Swedish society is the voluntary abdication of adult authority,” says Frank Furedi, Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Kent and author of Paranoid Parenting. “It began with stigmatising the punishment of children and mutated into a fear of disciplining them, which is what parents are supposed to do. The area for concern isn’t what happens to them as children, but what happens to them as they grow up.”
