Muslim Terror Attack in Mali, One American Woman Killed After Religious Test

Anita Datar (insert) American Woman Killed In terror Attack in Mali

So is this a religious test? If Muslim terrorists can use one to decide who lives, why can't Americans use a religious test to accept or deny admission to the country?

[From article]
We have seen this before on several occasions in Kenya. In September 2013 at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall, Muslims murdered people who couldn’t answer questions about Islam. In June 2014, Muslims murdered people who could not pass an Islam quiz. In November 2014, Muslims murdered 28 non-Muslims who couldn’t recite Qur’an verses. In April 2015, Muslims screaming “Allahu akbar” stormed Garissa University College, and only shot those who couldn’t recite Qur’an.
[. . .]
A senior security source said some of the hostages had been freed after being made to recite verses from the Koran. The French newspaper Le Monde quoted the Malian security ministry as saying at least three hostages had been killed.
[. . .]
The security source said as many as 10 gunmen had stormed the building, firing shots and shouting “Allahu Akbar”, or “God is great” in Arabic. The hotel’s head of security said two private security guards had been injured in the early stages of the attack, which began at 7 a.m. (0200 ET)….

Mauritania Has Closed Its Border With Mali

[From article]
Mauritania has closed its border with Mali after a case of Ebola was confirmed in western Mali near their shared frontier, two Mauritanian officials said on Saturday.
[. . .]
President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of Mali had earlier his country would not shut its border with Guinea, even though the Ebola case in Mali was a girl who brought the disease in from Guinea, which has been battling the disease for months.

Former Employee of Sen. Edward Kennedy Killed In Mali, Daughter Arrested

Tragic: The body of Sheila von Wiese Mack, pictured last year, was found beaten and bruised, crammed into a suitcase that the young couple had left in the trunk of a taxi before apparently fleeing through the hotel's rear exit.

[From article]
Friends of a widow beaten to death and stuffed in a suitcase at a Bali resort say they warned her not to take her troublesome teenage daughter along on the dream vacation.
The news comes as it emerged police had been called to victim Sheila von Wiese Mack's suburban Chicago home some 86 times to break up fights between the wealthy academic and her daughter, Heather Mack, 19, a college drop out who was 'hanging out with a bad crowd' and had recently moved into a hotel.

Teen: Ms Mack, recently graduated high school

The two had an often tempestuous relationship, recalled close friend Mark Bacharach, and had been fighting prior to the vacation at the luxury St. Regis hotel on the Indonesian island resort.
But Mrs Mack tracked down her daughter, and despite the fact she 'barely recognized her anymore' the two set off on the 10-day-plus trip to the other side of the globe, where the 62-year-old ultimately met a grisly end.
[. . .]
The Jakarta Globe reported that the driver told police he had gone to the hotel to pick up Mrs Mack and her daughter - whose full name was given by police as Lois Heather Mack - and Ms Mack's boyfriend.
The young couple loaded the large suitcase into the boot, before going back into the luxury hotel - but they did not come back out again.
After waiting for two hours, the driver was advised by the hotel staff to report the matter to the police. It is believed that the suitcase was leaking blood by this point.
He drove to Kuta Police Station, where officers opened the suitcase and found Mrs Mack's body inside.
'The body was wrapped in a hotel bedsheet and tied up with duct tape,' said Inspector Djoko. 'There were blood stains all over the sheet.'
Two smaller suitcases were found in the St. Regis' garden both containing hotel towels with blood on them, police said.
[. . .]
A doctor there said the victim had suffered several wounds to the head, which appeared to have been inflicted with 'blunt tools'.
'Looking at the wounds, the victim must have fought back,' said Ida Bagus Alit, adding that one of her fingers on her left hand was broken and there were bruises on her wrists.
[. . .]
The Minnesota-born Mrs Mack studied political science at Simmons College in Boston before getting a job with Senator Ted Kennedy, she told the Caxton Club, a book collectors group, in an interview last year.
'He had me doing research for him, and lots of miscellaneous jobs the political life requires. I even poured tea for Rose Kennedy a time or two.'
[. . .]
She also later worked with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, she said in the interview. Later, she did a PHD at the University of Chicago, studying with Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Saul Bellow for 10 years.
Mrs Mack is also the widow of the late Chicago composer and conductor James L.Mack, who died in August 2006.

Christians Driven From Muslim Nations

[From article]
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently said: [. . .] In our lifetime alone “Christians might disappear altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt.”
[. . .]
In 2003, Iraq’s Christian population was at least one million. Today fewer than 400,000 remain—the result of an anti-Christian campaign that began with the U.S. occupation of Iraq, when countless Christian churches were bombed and countless Christians killed, including by crucifixion and beheading.
[. . .]
entire regions and towns where Christians lived for centuries before Islam came into being have now been emptied, as the opposition targets Christians for kidnapping, plundering, and beheadings, all in compliance with mosque calls telling the populace that it’s a “sacred duty” to drive Christians away.

Al Qaeda In Mali

[From article]
Turbaned fighters now control all the major towns in the north,
carrying out amputations in public squares like the Taliban did. Just
as in Afghanistan, they are flogging women for not covering up. Since
taking control of Timbuktu, they have destroyed seven of the 16
mausoleums listed as world heritage sites.
The area under their rule is mostly desert and sparsely populated, but
analysts say that due to its size and the hostile nature of the
terrain, rooting out the extremists here could prove even more
difficult than it did in Afghanistan.
[. . .]
to me
Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, known as AQIM, operates not just in
Mali, but in a corridor along much of the northern Sahel. This
7,000-kilometer (4,300-mile) long ribbon of land runs across the
widest part of Africa, and includes sections of Mauritania, Niger,
Algeria, Libya, Burkina Faso and Chad.
[. . .]
"The Islamists have dug tunnels, made roads, they've brought in
generators, and solar panels in order to have electricity," he said.
"They live inside the rocks."
Still further north, near Boghassa, is the second base, created by
fighters from Ansar Dine. They too have used seized explosives,
bulldozers and sledgehammers to make passages in the hills, he said.
[. . .]
the Islamists have inherited stores of Russian-made arms from former
Malian army bases, as well as from the arsenal of toppled Libyan
leader Moammar Gadhafi, a claim that military experts have confirmed.
Those weapons include the SA-7 and SA-2 surface-to-air missiles,
according to Hamaha, which can shoot down aircrafts.
[. . .]
Originally from Algeria, the fighters fled across the border into Mali
in 2003, after kidnapping 32 European tourists. Over the next decade,
they used the country's vast northern desert to hold French, Spanish,
Swiss, German, British, Austrian, Italian and Canadian hostages,
raising an estimated $89 million in ransom payments, according to
Stratfor, a global intelligence company.
[. . .]
In his four-month-long captivity, Fowler never saw his captors refill
at a gas station, or shop in a market. Yet they never ran out of gas.
And although their diet was meager, they never ran out of food, a
testament to the extensive supply network which they set up and are
now refining and expanding.

Rebels in Mali Want To Create Islamic State

[From article]
"As fighting ebbed in recent days with the retreat south of the Niger of the MDF, there have been reports of jihadists occupying certain neighborhoods in Gao, Timbuctu, and other localities. Their proclaimed goal is the creation of an Islamic state in the north, eventually in all of Mali and throughout the Sahel."
