Maxine Explains the Health Care Bill

Maxine sums up the health care bill

Let me get this straight. We're going to be gifted with a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it, but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and to be financed by a country that's broke.
Well ... what could possibly go wrong?

Pyrrhic Victory for Dems

This is not health care reform, not even insurance reform. Drug industry and insurance industry support the boondoggle bill. Rep. Lynch (D-MA) revealed the insurance industry exception to anti trust laws remains untouched. The bill encourages trial lawyers to continue abuses they blame on others. Three mindless politicians lead down "The road to hell [which] is paved with good intentions." (George Bernard Shaw) Greek philosopher Cleobulous: "The chief source of evil among men is excessive good." Socialism or not the process corrupted the Constitution and embarrassed Congress if that is at all possible. Polls show Congress at 11 percent favorability. 37 years after Archibald Cox said he tried to restore faith in government Harvard Bozo Obama comes along and makes sure fewer still trust the government. Congress gives more credibility to organized crime than the elected criminals in DC. Massachusetts and Harvard University voters support the corruption having not cleaned up the Boston FBI and the state government since James Bulger ran them.

Obama Attacks Insurers

[From article]
"Obama has taken to lambasting the insurers. Never mind that, as Robert Samuelson of Newsweek points out, the profits of the largest insurers amount to only .4 percent of total annual medical costs -- which are fundamentally driven by the price and volume of care."

Democrats and Health Care

[From Article]
"But the Democrats think it's a good strategy to call the Republicans 'The Party of No.' When it comes to Obamacare, Americans don't want a party of 'No,' they want a party of 'Hell, No!' or, as Rahm Emanuel might say, '*&^%$#@ No!'"

Obama and Health Care

[From article]

"If everything, pro and con, has been said about the subject, by everybody, that means someone isn't telling the truth, right? I mean, if you've said X and not-X, that means you've probably said something that isn't true.[. . .]
the Democrats' plan is unpopular, period. [. . .]
That hasn't stopped him from talking out of every side of his mouth.[. . .]

Obama Plan Enriches Insurance Companies

[From article]

"President Obama declared on Monday. "We can't have a system that works better for the insurance companies than it does for the American people." Yet Obama's plan to tame health insurers would boost their business, protect them from competition and guarantee their profits, all at the expense of consumers and taxpayers."

[From article]
"the bill wouldn't exist in its current form if key senators hadn't been bought off with hundreds of billions of dollars in legislative bribes. That taint can't be undone.
[. . .]
Obama insists that it will cut the deficit, bend the cost curve down and reduce premiums, when it's likely to do the opposite on all three counts."

Politicians Mislead on Health Care
