Hoaxer Fools Asociated Press With Fake Interview as Survivor of San Bernadino Shooting

[From article]
The Associated Press (AP) have retracted an interview with an online hoaxster who claimed to be a survivor of the San Bernardino mass shooting, after Breitbart Tech obtained an exclusive interview in which she admitted that her story was a fabrication intended to fool the mainstream media.
The troll fabricated a fake story about the massacre, claiming that she had exchanged words with one of the shooters. She convinced the AP that one of the shooters said he was murdering people “for necessary ethics” and that he wore a shirt emblazoned with the logo “GG.” This was an attempt to pin the shooting on GamerGate, the movement for higher standards and political independence in video game journalism that has been repeatedly scapegoated in the media.
There are few examples of trolls who have seen their hoaxes spread so far, so quickly. Because over 1,000 media outlets around the world are subscribed to the AP’s news service [full disclosure: Breitbart is among them], the correction also appeared in a number of other outlets that reprinted the AP story.
Among these were the New York Times, the Daily Mail, ABC News, and the San Diego Union Tribune. CNN was also hoaxed by the troll, who was invited on to Andersoon Cooper 360, where she was interviewed by Cooper himself. The International Business Times also quoted “Marie,” and later issued a correction.

Boston Herald, AP Show Negative Bias Toward Disabled Persons

[From article]
Vernon police had said they were concerned for the boys' safety. [Jackie Morris, 32, the mother's] relatives told officials that she had a history of mental illness.

Relatives of a suspect reveal her medical records. Journalists repeat them in print. In this case it is a wire story. But the Boston Herald has no standards protecting medical records if the person is accused of mental illness. After years of complaints the Boston Herald (and the AP) continue to exhibit a negative bias toward persons with disabilities. For the Boston Herald (and the AP) privacy rights of persons with disabilities have less privacy protections than non disabled persons. Homosexuals would be attacking this as hate speech.  CNN would give it wall to wall coverage.

AP says the Southern Poverty Law Center is a "nonprofit civil rights organization." The NRA, The Heritage Foundation, and The Hoover Foundation are "nonprofit civil rights organization[s]" also. But the Southern Poverty Law Centre is an extreme left wing advocate against conservative organizations and voters. The SPLC publishes propaganda ridiculing and stirring up hatred toward conservative organizations and individuals. It is not an objective source of information. But what else is new among left wing journalists/propagandists? It is shameful that journalists with First Amendment protections continue to publish propaganda misleading citizens and creating more ignorance and more animosity among citizens of the nation. Just because it is legal to print propaganda in the US does not mean that the AP should do it. Same goes for the TV networks and the drive-by media outlets.

[From article]
Page, who joined the Army in 1992 and was discharged in 1998, was described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a "frustrated neo-Nazi" who was active in the obscure underworld of white supremacist music. Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the nonprofit civil rights organization in Montgomery, Ala., said Page had been on the white-power music scene for more than a decade, playing in bands known as Definite Hate and End Apathy.

Biased AP Reporting Continues

Associated Press and Breitbart continue to promote the irrational idea that persons with a history of mental illness are violent. They use the drug industry promotes the false paradigm that mental illness causes violence. It makes as much sense as the idea that all Black Americans are violent and criminals, and the idea that all homosexuals are perverts. Neither the AP nor Breitbart would publish a comparable suggestion about others as they do about persons with disabilities. This biased expression encourages police, lawyers and judges to abuse persons accused of mental illness. It is the source of much abuse that persons with disabilities encounter every day.

AP Greatly Distorts History

[From article]
"The Associated Press has a famous book on grammar and style that its news writers use to govern their work, a book that is also popular with the whole American news industry. It has served as a standard for many years. The AP, however, seems to have no style or rule for reporting history. Or rather, perhaps it does and the rule is to purposefully garble American history, always skewing it."
