Palestinian History of Rejecting Peace
[From editorial]
"As prime minister a decade ago, Barak offered a better deal to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
Arafat's response: a second intifada.
"It was historic: An Israeli government had said that to get peace, there would be a Palestinian state in roughly 97 percent of the West Bank . . . and all of Gaza," Bill Clinton, who held those talks, wrote in his memoir. "The deal was so good I couldn't believe anyone would be foolish enough to let it go."
