Either way, Americans who currently have health insurance through group policies will soon have fewer choices in doctors, costlier premiums, increased deductibles, and much higher -- possibly economically devastating -- overall health expenses.
Numerous studies show that as the cost of health care rises, people delay or refuse treatment, leading to more serious medical conditions, even death.
In the light of all the above, let's look at Obama's full quote about the (U)ACA:
"(N)o matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."
It was declared Lie of the Year -- actually it should be Lie of the Decade, or Century even -- by left-leaning Politifact in 2013.
Obama lied. People will die.
It's awful. It's just awful.

“It is time to begin a vigorous analysis of our conduct of trade,” Sessions said. “Do our policies and TPP concede too much to our mercantilist competitor allies?”
According to the Alabama lawmaker, there has not been enough consideration of the impact of trade agreements on the American worker and American incomes — so long as consumer prices decline with the deals.
“At bottom, we must ask whether or not our aggressive trading partners, using a mercantilist philosophy, may be gaining unfair advantage. These countries—good nations, good allies—are not religious about free trade,” Sessions said. “In general, while they assert their desire is for expanded free trade, their actual policies seek fewer U.S. exports to them using non-tariff as well as tariff barriers. Our trade competitors use currency manipulation, subsidies, and other actions to expand their exports to us. Their goal is, naturally, to seek full employment in their countries while exporting their unemployment to the United States.”

“This refusal by many to acknowledge the mercantilist policies of our trading competitors has gone, it seems to me, from promoting healthy trading relationships to an ideology, even to the nature of a religion,” he said.
Sessions pointed out that while he too is in favor of less expensive products and has voted for trade agreements in the past, the trade deal before Congress is unsettling to him.

Glen Hochman, who spent 22 years as a While Plains officer, filed retirement papers on Jan. 30 — about three weeks before the bloodbath — that intentionally left the beneficiary section blank, sources said.
“It’s the most selfish final insult,” said a family friend from Harrison. “It’s reckless and insulting for any man to leave their family high and dry like that, by choosing the zero option on their pension.
“But for him to do that and then kill his children, that’s pure evil. He effectively stole the future away from the family he left behind.”
Hochman, 52, executed daughters Alissa, 17, and Deanna, 13, in their sleep on Saturday before killing the three family dogs and then turning the gun on himself.
He typed a hateful suicide note that included taunts to his wife, Anamarie, 50, warning her to be financially responsible — even though he knew she would be broke.
He left a second note at the Windward School in White Plains where he worked security and Deanna was a student.

The day before a decorated retired cop gunned down his two teenage daughters and killed himself, his wife went to the local police station to report a “domestic incident” at the home, sources told The Post on Sunday.

Anamarie Hochman, 50, wanted an official report to document the argument she’d had the night before with husband Glen, 52, at their Adelphi Avenue house in leafy Harrison, the sources said.
The wife did not want her husband arrested, and told Harrison cops that he’d apologized for the dispute, a disagreement over a cell phone bill. But the dispute had so disturbed her that she wanted it documented.
Just one day later, on Saturday, the worried wife, who was at the Mohegan Sun casino with the eldest daughter, Samantha, 22, called the cops and asked for a wellness check at the home.

Police were called to the Harrison, N.Y. home around 3:30 p.m. and found Hochman dead in the garage from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Anamarie, 50, and the couple’s third and oldest daughter, Samantha, had spent the day at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.
The dead daughters were Alissa, 17, a 12th grader, and Deanna, 13, who was in the seventh grade.

Poll after poll showed Americans ranking illegal immigration as the No. 1 most important problem facing the nation. We haven’t changed our minds. Last week, an Associated Press-Gfk poll showed that Obama’s single most unpopular policy is his position on illegal immigration.
In other words, Obamacare is more popular than amnesty. That’s like losing a popularity contest to Ted Bundy.

McConnell’s spokesman at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Brad Dayspring, predicted that Obama’s amnesty threat would drive voters to “elect a new Senate (that) will stand up to the president.”

But they can’t do that, so families have to spend a quarter of a million dollars to give their kids the parchment equivalent of an IQ score. High school kids who get into good schools should present employers with their college acceptance letters and skip the going-to-college part.
Republicans need to force colleges to issue reports, just like drug companies, attesting to the average cost, and the average salary, for every degree. It will cost you $160,000 to receive a degree in Spanish literature and will take you 88 years to pay that back.

Union Officers Live Like Pashas

This account of wild salaries and benefits makes complaints about welfare fraud laughable. At most a welfare recipient can steal maybe $10,000 a year. These guys are getting salaries which could be used to house scores of persons without homes. Union leaders are greedy like politicians and have no shame.

One CEO could cover all the salaries of all the union execs in the country. How come you aren't complaining about them not paying for housing for the poor?

The difference for me is that corporations are dedicated to making profits. That is their mission. If you ask why CEOs are compensated when they put the corporation out of business I would agree with you. But non profit, tax exempt unions allegedly exist to help their members. The same applies to politicians who earn hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions, while humans live in  shelters. You can deal with profit oriented people. But it is difficult to deal with people who say they are trying to improve society as they rob taxpayers.
