FBI PR Flack
FBI Director Kallstrom's essay praises the Bureau with the same misguided focus on structures. Bureaucracies do not address the issue of integrity of the people given power over others. He fails to mention the generation of abuses in Boston including but not limited to 19 murders by an informant, and the frame-up of four men for murder by the Boston FBI. Since that was exposed in US Courts there has yet to be any thorough cleaning of the Boston office. It remains a cesspool with untrustworthy employees. Does Kallstrom think that like Obama all he has to do is publish essays in media outlets to generate trust?
The FBI uses and abuses citizens while ignoring real threats to security. The FBI is an out of control creature of statute.
"Historically, the FBI has collected and analyzed information, whether the threat was the Soviet Union, domestic terrorist groups like the Klu Klux Klan or organized crime.
[. . .]
The FBI is designed to be as transparent as possible for the purpose of protecting the nation, as well as the rights and liberties enshrined in the Constitution.
[. . .]
these structures don't always perform seamlessly doesn't suggest the current process is dysfunctional."
