Affirmative Action for White People is Long Overdue
This appointment was about race. The global society of which Cambridge claims to be a part, has 16 percent white population. This appointment is an affirmative action appointment for good reason. Far too few whites are in management or in positions of leadership in the world. The School Committee deserves high praise for advancing a white person into management positions to overcome their minority status in the world.
