Is This News?
Is This News?
Is it news that a politician especially the Speaker of the House of
Representatives is doing favors for friends? (Andrea Estes, and
Stephen Kurkjian, "More deals for DiMasi's friends," Boston Globe,
July 30, 2008) The rival Boston daily has a columnist who writes about
this almost every week. The hackerama is not news to the readers of
that paper. Has the Globe been admiring the Democratic leadership for
all there years at the expense of seeing what was going on?
Globe reporters should scrutinize how the courts also do favors for
friends. Examine who works at the various court clerks offices. That
is where the favor pool thrives with no sunshine exposing the
activities.
