Misleading Leadership of Cambridge MA

"Bill August, president of the Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association, said Western Avenue is an “active entry point” for many commuters, since it is a gateway to Cambridgeport."

[Two readers explained the facts to the leader of the Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association.]

In ref. to : (Bill August, president of the Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association, said Western Avenue is an active entry point for many commuters, since it is a gateway to Cambridgeport. It is for so many thousands of people as they come flooding out of the [Mass] Pike and Storrow Drive, he said. It feels like youre on a highway there.)

Because it is a ONE WAY thoroughfare going from Central Square towards the entry to the Mass Pike, Western Avenue is actually an EXIT POINT ( which does not diminish its 'highway' feeling, especially around 5pm ).

The entry point from the Pike into Cambridgeport is RIVER STREET.

It is for so many thousands of people as they come flooding out of the [Mass] Pike and Storrow Drive...

Huh? Western Ave. flows one-way away from Cambridge. Mr. August seems to be referring to River St., which carries traffic from the Pike and Storrow Dr. and flows one-way into Cambridge. But this article is not about River St.
