Celebrating the ADA
What progress has the city made regarding curbing abuses of persons accused of mental illness? In 1928 (See Angelina Jolie's film "The Changling") Los Angeles Police routinely put uncooperative citizens in mental hospitals. Whistleblowers were hospitalized. 80 years later police and politicians continue to use psychiatry to cover up criminal abuses by public officials. What good has the ADA done to prevent psychiatric abuses?
