Lenny Bruce Tribute

[From article]
"Bruce’s material, largely centered on society’s hypocrisies, still resonated strongly today.
[. . .]
Bruce — who died depressed and broken in 1966 at age 40, after years of legal trouble for the supposedly obscene content of his act — was not just a martyr to the cause of free speech. He was also a brilliant comic and social commentator."

Courageous Women Police in Mexico

[From article]
"Gandara, a former radio dispatcher, was declared the de facto police chief last summer; after the 10 other cops in town had either quit or been killed. The young woman took her job as chief of 9,000 border residents seriously, going out on patrol every morning with an R-15 rifle and proudly hefting the gun in pictures for local papers.
[. . .]
Her bravado had a cost. Gandara was snatched from her house two days before Christmas — presumably by a drug cartel, although federal police won’t comment — and her kidnappers burned her home before fleeing. Her family hasn’t seen or heard from her since, but two relatives who worked in politics in nearby towns abruptly resigned their positions shortly after she went missing.
[. . .]
In the past four years, there were 34,612 drug-related killings in Mexico, according to government figures
[. . .]
Corruption among Mexican police is so pervasive that some officials want to get rid of local officers and replace them with a single, state-run domestic army.
[. . .]
Last year 14 mayors were murdered and dozens of police departments have been decimated by targeted killings.
[. . .]
Today, Gorrostieta is a widow and single mom — her husband was killed in the first assassination attempt against her in 2009 — and her body is riddled with bullet holes and scars, with a colostomy bag taped to her stomach.
[. . .]
“I still have an inextinguishable determination to continue my mission of heading this administration, as I was elected to do,” she wrote. “I wanted to show you my wounded, mutilated body . . . because I’m not ashamed of it . . . it’s living testimony that I am a strong and righteous woman, and despite my physical and mental wounds, I’m still on my feet.”

Obama Lacks Self Awareness

[From article]
"Emanuel’s ad-hocracy, meanwhile, didn’t faze Obama. The president’s friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett sometimes pointed out that not only had he never managed an operation, he’d never really had a nine-to-five job in his life. Obama didn’t know what he didn’t know, yet his self-confidence was so stratospheric that once, in the context of thinking about Emanuel’s replacement, he remarked in all seriousness, “You know, I’d make a good chief of staff.”
Those overhearing the comment somehow managed to suppress their laughter."

Colombo Crime Family History

[From article]
"Scarpa, a violent thug who rose to the rank of capo, had a special relationship with the FBI, which enlisted his help to solve the "Mississippi Burning" murders of two civil-rights workers in 1964 -- and allegedly looked the other way while he committed crimes. In exchange, he secretly served as informant for 35 years.
[. . .]
His FBI handler, Lindley DeVecchio, was indicted in 2006 for allegedly helping Scarpa carry out four gangland killings, but the Brooklyn DA's office dropped the case when tapes emerged in which Schiro contradicted herself."

Exploiting Civil Rights For Business Purposes

Legislatures and courts are businesses run by and for politicians and lawyers. Now baseball will be a business to benefit children of civil rights leaders. What justifies "transferring" the legacies of Jackie Robinson and Dr. King, Jr. to a taxpayer subsidized for profit business? It is not only politicians that have no shame exploiting the work of good men for their own mercenary purposes.

[From article]
"It's fitting with the legacy of Jackie Robinson essentially transferring to the Mets; what better place to have African-American ownership than with the Mets," [TV executive Larry] Meli said, noting that Major League Baseball has no African-American owners.
[. . .]
"Martin Luther King Jr. died for the common man to do better in his life," [TV executive Larry] Meli said. "That sort of legacy is going to take hold here."

Lougner's Insanity Defense

[From article]
Loughner's lawyer "is required by law to give notice if she intends to raise an insanity defense, but has not given public indication of her plans.
[. . .]
the M'Naghten Rule still anchors its current form, focusing on whether, "as a result of a severe mental disease or defect," the accused "was unable to appreciate the nature and quality or the wrongfulness of his acts." "Wrongfulness" in this context does not mean contrary to any penal law—actual knowledge of the law may be relevant but it does not determine the outcome. As one court put it, "wrongfulness for purposes of the federal insanity defense statute is defined by reference to objective societal or public standards of moral wrongfulness."
[. . .]
Today, with a delusional disorder defense the right versus wrong test is not whether the defendant believed he was justified based on his delusional view of reality, but whether society would objectively judge his actions as an appropriate response to his delusions.
[. . .]
Insanity and the ability to act in a calculated manner are not mutually exclusive."

[From article]
"Mark Lawson, school board president of one of New York state's first districts to put technology directly in students' hands, told The New York Times in 2007: "After seven years, there was literally no evidence it had any impact on student achievement -- none. The teachers were telling us when there's a one-to-one relationship between the student and the laptop, the box gets in the way. It's a distraction to the educational process."

Naval Academy Instructor Laments Affirmative Action

[From article]
"”We’ll do anything to get non-white students,” he said, in order to appear more diverse and improve the football team. According to Fleming, the admissions system is two-tiered because minority candidates have lower test scores and grades than their counterparts. In short, Fleming says that the Academy is rejecting better qualified white applicants to admit minority candidates with less impressive credentials. The USNA has been very aggressive on the affirmative action front in recent years. In 2009, Adm. Gary Roughead, the chief of naval operations, went so far as to say that “diversity is the No. 1 priority” at the academy. (Gee, I guess training warriors and officers is now #2)."

This is bizarre. After you find the man, it's so obvious. Once you find him,
it's embarrassing, and you think,
"Why didn't I see him immediately?"

Doctors have concluded that if you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, the right half of your brain is better developed than most people. If you find the man between 3 seconds and 1 minute, the right half of the brain is developed normally. If you find the man between 1 minute and 3 minutes, then the right half of your brain is functioning slowly and you need to eat more protein. If you have not found the man after 3 minutes, the advice is to look for more of this type of exercise to make that part of your brain stronger!

And YES, the man is really there!

Gov Wants to Make Private Attorneys State Employees

None of the special interests in this business dispute between attorneys recognize serious flaws in the criminal justice system. Ignore for now how prosecutors refuse to recognize truth and use every technique including but not limited to intimidation to win cases. But the lawyers for CPCS are often not only incompetent, but they abuse their clients. The alleged "bar advocates," private attorneys, are able to and do take taxpayer money to defend a client and then take money from police or other interested parties to not put on a defense. Where does a client framed by police with a lawyer who works against him go? Next the crooked lawyers and police say that the client is mentally ill. Who will listen to a client who was brutalized first by police then by the taxpayer funded system whose mission is to protect him? The MA criminal justice system is thoroughly polluted and needs bright lights shined on the part controlled by attorneys. They are not known for rectitude. The voters of this state have no will to clean up the FBI, the police or the court system. MA government degenerates into a Stalinesque system where all government mechanisms are used to silence criticism and to protect government criminals. Saying "Many defense lawyers have served in the Legislature" is enough in MA to sound the alarm and wave red flags of danger.

[From article]
"Anthony Benedetti, the agency’s chief counsel [said] “In states where the public defenders are all public, public defenders are overworked, underfunded, and provide ineffective representation.’’

American Values Are Anti Government

[From article]
"The values, expressing the 18th century's preoccupation with defending liberty against government, are, Huntington said, "individualistic, democratic, egalitarian, and hence basically anti-government and anti-authority." The various values "unite in imposing limits on power and on the institutions of government. The essence of constitutionalism is the restraint of governmental power through fundamental law."
[. . .]
Opposition to power and suspicion of government as the most dangerous embodiment of power are the central themes of American political thought."
[. . .]
If men are bad, government should be weak lest men put it to bad uses. If men are well-intentioned and reasonable, strong government is not necessary to control them, so "government should be weak because men are good."

Latest On Obama's Name Change

[From Article]
"I’ve known since the very beginning that David Axelrod astroturfed the whole “Birther” movement as an excuse for the media to ignore calls for Obama to produce his birth certificate. This is the oldest trick in the political book: if you don’t want your critics to ask about something, set the stage so that if they try to, you can used Alinsky polarizing/name-calling tactics against them.

As in, start asking WHY Obama won’t show his birth certificate — which is a ridiculous thing to refuse to show — and instantly the media calls you a “Birther!” and accuses you of buying into the conspiracy that Obama was born in Africa or maybe Vancouver. It was a great strategy on Axelrod’s part that kept the truth from being revealed for over three years now."

Control Freaks Want More Control

The analogy with the Inquisition strictly applies to psychiatry. The mental health industry makes prisoners into patients, and criminals into mentally ill civilians. Merging the two categories allows the control freak industry to take any one's freedom and to force their chemicals on anyone. It is an aggressive proactive business model. The client base increases and profits skyrocket. These illnesses are created by consensus not science. They are all based on speech and behavior protected by the Constitution. Unprotected speech and behavior are crimes. No need for psychiatry at all except to bypass due process protections. This new fake illness allows for anyone to be taken into custody and forced to take chemicals. Only psychiatrists can see these illnesses and only psychiatrists can predict the future. For believers this is nothing special. For illnesses with no pathology it is laughable that drug companies persuaded politicians to pass laws making taxpayers fund such fantasy treatments.

Stalin had a system to prevent human speech and behavior he did not like. He shot them dead. This can stop any and all violence by civilians before it happens. Control freaks always get upset by constitutionally protected individual freedom. If you dislike freedom why not try another country with less than this one? Psychiatrists want to eliminate constitutionally protected speech and actions that psychiatrists do not like or do not understand. Psychiatry is a means of social control with no due process protections. It is personal opinion masquerading as science. If you are willing to give up freedom for security, read Ben Franklin on that subject.

Saying, "Since insurance companies often don't reimburse treatment for non-DSM disorders, inclusion is a common prerequisite for new drug development, large-scale clinical trials, and funding for ambitious research." reveals what psychiatry is all about -- making money and increasing the client base. Drug merchants hide the profit motive under the guise of healing, and preventing violence.
[. . .]
'psychosis risk syndrome' [. . .] experts say, it might be possible to delay or entirely avert the disease." Only psychiatrists can see mental illnesses which have no pathology. Mental illnesses are speech and behavior protected by the Constitution.

Crime Families Are Here To Stay

This discussion ignores one positive role of crime families. They employ psychopaths and keep them under control. Crime families hold their members and associates accountable for their errors and negligence unlike government agencies and institutions. Has the author considered the implications of easy access of union leaders, e.g., SEIU to the White House?

[From article]

Layers of insulation that had existed for generations to protect corrupt politicians, law-enforcement officers, businessmen and mob leaders were penetrated by law enforcers.

Psychiatric Business Within the Courts

Here's another example of the psychiatric industry creating business opportunities within the criminal justice system. If the issue is competency to stand trial the threshold is very low. Dangerousness is a separate issue. The article does not explain the focus of the court ordered evaluation. What special abilities do psychiatrists or psychologists have to predict the future? Competency is for the trial. But evaluations are usually ordered at the arraignment which can be many months before trial. What value is a six-month old evaluation when the trial begins? But if the defendant is not "dangerous," and not "violent," what justifies ordering forced treatment? Will the government evaluate the entire population as the drug industry desires?

[From article]

Public Policy Creates Danger for Vulnerable Employees

Calling this prisoner a mental patient is what allowed him to be in the group home with no security. The Mayor of Revere noted they had no previous incidents. Mental patients are not violent contrary to bias of lawyers, prosecutors, journalists, police and politicians. Until the psychiatric industry and its drug company lobbyists are stopped from making prisoners into patients the violence will continue to increase. This is misguided public policy corrupting the criminal justice system and creating harm to vulnerable employees.

[From article]
"A mentally ill Chelsea man with a violent rap sheet moved into a low-security Revere group home without ever undergoing a criminal background check, according to the program operator.
[. . .]
“We’ve never had an issue with that group home,” said Revere Mayor Thomas Ambrosino said. “I would consider this an aberration in terms of the way this home operates. It’s a terrible tragedy that one of their counselors lost her life.”

Bad Policy, No Common Sense Creates Problems

This problem was created by politicians who allowed the psychiatric industry to make prisoners into mental patients. Blurring that line the government places professionals in jeopardy. Regarding knowing a "patient's" history there also is a merging of two separate procedures. Under CORI laws an arrest remains open to the public even if it is dismissed. It is misguided public policy SOP for Massachusetts toward persons arrested. Knowing how the Boston FBI loves to frame white men it becomes an issue for abuse of white men. Medical records are protected under state and US privacy laws. But when it comes to persons accused of mental illness laws are ignored. The problem is the irrational policy making prisoners into patients. Current state policies are misguided. Add to that, typical MA bureaucrats with no common sense and you create dangerous situations enabling homicide.

Misguided Public Policy Kills Again

Due to continued corruption of the criminal justice system one more innocent woman was murdered by a prison inmate designated mentally ill. It is unlikely that the psychiatric industry and the drug companies will be prevented from making all prisoners into chemically dependent mental patients. That misguided public policy is good for business. It brings campaign contributions from psychiatrists and drug company lobbyists. It also places vulnerable workers in danger. This tragedy reveals another abuse of the criminal justice system. The accused man's lawyer says, "There’s no indication from what I could see that would lead me to believe he could be capable of this." Oh? This lawyer is either being deceptive or is clueless about the drug caused violence promoted by the psychiatric industry, as it gets control of the criminal justice system. Psychiatric drugs cause violence. Even the drug-industry-controlled FDA admits that. Under proper circumstances anyone is capable of doing what the defendant did. It is part of human nature. Rather than teach people about their own nature the drug industry promotes more drug induced violence. That taxpayer funded policy causes worse problems.
More basic, as the mother of the murdered woman points out, why was there no security at this prison-mental hospital?

[From article]
"'He’s been diagnosed as a schizophrenic, and he suffers from brain injuries,' said Dr. Naomi Leavitt, a court psychiatrist. 'He was beaten with a baseball bat and pistol whipped as a young boy and he’s had exposure to lead poisoning.'
Leavitt also said Chappell hadn’t taken his psychiatric medication in months.
[. . .]
Of the horrific charges, Karp said: 'There’s no indication from what I could see that would lead me to believe he could be capable of this.'”

White Employee Fired By All Black Indiana Office

The term minority needs definition. Like racism it means whatever the speaker wants it to mean as in Humpty Dumpty in Alice in Wonderland. In a office that is all black save one white employee which is the minority? In a city or neighborhood all black what is the minority? Is it the population figures for a country or the world? Among world population in this claimed global society white people are about 16 percent of the population. Some city councils as in Boston with majority "minority" populations want to ban the use of the word minority and give preferences to persons of color. Affirmative Action punishes people who did no wrong, and rewards others who suffered no harm. That is one of the protocols implemented during the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. They punished people who did no wrong.

Why Sarah Palin Scares Politicians

[From article]
"Many on the Left and Right are ready and willing to pounce on Sarah Palin’s every move. The question is why. And the answer is simple.
She’s just a regular person like you and me. But she’s a regular person who has managed to pack convention halls and book signings, to release two bestselling books, to launch a successful and unconventional television series, to boost the ratings of every television show she has appeared on – and she has done it all just by being herself. No help from the GOP establishment, no help from the media elite, and no help from any you-do-for-me-I-do-for-you deals with big shots. To top it all off, she’s – heaven forbid – happy.
[. . .]
Most importantly, she wasn’t afraid to just be herself. And to those who spend their lives trying to be who they think people want them to be, nothing is more infuriating."

Why Sarah Palin Drives Them Wild

Collectivism Is Destroying American Exceptionalism

This essay did not discuss the collectivism of blame, e.g., regarding the tragic shootings in Tucson. Instead of holding the individual accountable for his evil actions they were blamed on hate speech by conservatives, mental illness, and public policy toward access to guns. A corollary is that benefits, e.g., government protection and financial aid are allocated based on membership in groups. Some groups are favored over others. Members of favored groups get protection and benefits. Others do not.

Who Is Behind Progressive Insurance?

Subject: Who is behind Progressive Insurance?

Interesting that they chose that name for the company - in 1930, the communists (in America) chose to call themselves "Progressive" to hide their communist association.

Peter Lewis is one of the largest benefactors of the left in America (provided $15 million to the ACLU) and is chairman of Progressive Auto Insurance.

This regards Progressive Auto Insurance. This is the company with the clever television
ads featuring the perky brunette actress all dressed in white. What you might not know is that the chairman of Progressive is Peter Lewis, one of the largest benefactors of the left in America. He’s your typical rich spoiled kid who took over the company from his father and apparently feels “guilty” for his success and now dedicates himself to making it impossible for anyone else to become wealthy.

Between 2001 and 2003, Lewis funneled $15 million to the ACLU, the group most
responsible for destroying what’s left of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage. Indeed, Lewis is himself a ACLU member. One of the ACLU projects he earmarked his funds for was an effort to sue school districts who have drug testing policies. In other words, this man wants teachers to be able to use drugs without fear of exposure. Wonder what he would think if all his own employees came to work drugged out every day.

Lewis also gave $12.5 million to MoveOn.org and American Coming Together, two key
components of the socialist left. The former group is perhaps the main group used by the
Obama forces to organize their activists; the latter group is a 527 political action group that essentially served as a front for the SEIU union thugs who ran ACORN. His funding for these groups was conditional on matching contributions from George Soros, the international socialist/communist who finances much of the Obama political network.

It’s disturbing that Lewis made a fortune as a result of capitalism but now finances a
progressive movement that threatens to destroy the free enterprise system. He reminds me
somewhat of Armand Hammer, the former head of Occidental Petroleum who did business
with Joseph Stalin and became his good friend, in the same time period Stalin was executing businessmen all over the USSR. [Al Gore, Sr. was a recipient of campaign funds from Armand Hammer.]

This company targets television shows watched by conservatives such as Fox News. Peter Lewis is making a fortune off unsuspecting Americans so that he can change/destroy our country. He’s banking on no one finding out who he is.

It’s time to expose this clown.

Humans do not have to worry about cloning humans, even though Korean scientists clone dogs and sheep for those who can afford it. Now Harvard scientists tell us that humans don't have to worry about mind control by others even though Harvard scientists reveal they can control the minds of worms. I feel better already. Of course anyone who thinks that human thoughts and emotions can be influenced by others wears tin foil hats. Are they the ones who are violent and have irrational thoughts?

Emotions Transformed Into Illnesses

Propaganda from the psychiatric industry shows increased mental illness among college students. With continued dumbing down of the population, and less humans being aware of their emotions, the drug industry medicalizes human emotions. Thus there are more people experiencing emotions who think that is an illness. This for profit deception, making money in the name of healing, is not unusual in the USA. But this one causes humans to ingest harmful chemicals in order to heal fake illnesses. The mental health industry will lead the future society as portrayed in the film Idiocracy.

Superficial Discrimination Rates

The disability category is not included in all scoring. States and cities exclude disability based discrimination from their focus. The MA state discrimination agency MCAD refuses to hear complaints based on disability. US EEOC has few disability complaints heard, as well as the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. Elders are discouraged from enjoying legal protections. Scrutiny of the discrimination cartel shows that three large wealthy and politically connected groups dominate the field: Black Americans, homosexuals and women. Many taxpayer funded agencies are staffed by these three groups. In one case the US Department of HUD Fair Housing Agency in Boston did not know the legal definition of disability in 2003. The IG and Secretary of HUD did not respond to complaints. So this report is very superficial and does not address problems with the denial of access to government services, and public accommodations. As Mark Twain said, "There are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics.

Irrational Editorial Laments Irrational Speech

This editorial shows bias, intolerance, arrogance, and especially exploitation of persons with disabilities. This propaganda piece says, "one need not be a practicing psychiatrist to see that the 22 year old is a disturbed individual." Is the Phoenix saying anyone can make psychiatric diagnoses? Journalists quote police, FBI agents, relatives, classmates and anyone who can speak. How reliable are these diagnoses of made up illnesses? For what real illness are privacy rights ignored as with persons accused of mental illness?

No industry exploits tragedy as venomously as the psychiatric industry and drug companies. In this incident, employing the Rahm Emanuel Doctrine, "Let no crisis go to waste," it was first the left wing hate monger censors accusing right wing political speech for the Arizona tragedy. Then came the mental health cartel. In third place is the anti gun lobbyists.

Phoenix says, "Gun worship [. . .] so deranged the national personality [that much] of the country have lost touch with reality." Is this a new mental illness? Gun worship causes delusions? What about pillow worship? How many more will die from unlawful use of dangerous pillows, which can be obtained with no waiting period?

Phoenix blames Arizona gun worshippers, for "a slide into a more rude and more crude form of civil society." Huh? Harvard Law Professors codified Affirmative Action which punishes people for doing no wrong; and rewards others for suffering no harm. How does that enrich civil society?

US Attorney General calls white people cowards. The President refers to "typical white persons." Unelected billionaire George Soros purchases public policy. If "intolerance and suspicion [are] growth industries] in [Arizona]," what are the race mongers in New York and Massachusetts? Criticism of politicians results in accusations of racism. How is that conducive to civil speech and participation?

More propaganda, the Phoenix says, "Reason suggests that Loughner is sick." If being irrational is a disease politicians and journalists need treatment. Who makes these statements up? They make no sense. Who decided whether being irrational is a requirement of speech; and that it is dangerous? The Phoenix tolerates only conformity. Stepping outside of leftist dogma published in the Phoenix is mental illness?

Lowry's Propaganda For Drug Companies

[Edited version of this letter was published in the New York Post on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, page 32.
Online third letter at this location]

Rich Lowry writes propaganda for the drug companies abandoning his regular skepticism regarding political speech and actions. He argues that a mysterious madness lobby, is preventing the psychiatric industry and the drug industry from passing more laws for forced treatment. Do these industries hide their profit motive under claims of healing?

He blames abuse victims for their own abuse. People who are demonized by ordinary citizens, politicians, lawyers, journalists, and especially psychiatrists; a group of people with no political clout or power, who are scorned and feared by society for stopping progress and making society dangerous. Lawyers funded to protect persons accused of mental illness lobby for more funding for more treatment. Few of them protect the rights, integrity and freedom of persons accused of mental illness.

Why does Lowry deny Constitutional Rights to persons accused of mental illness? Laws regarding forced treatment already exist which violate Due Process Rights for others. Why do psychiatrists get special exemptions?

Whenever there is a heinous crime the medical records of the accused are plastered across the media landscape. Why are privacy laws ignored for persons accused of mental illness? Even without records journalists make it up as Lowry did saying, "Someone displaying all the symptoms of untreated schizophrenia." Psychiatry makes symptoms, speech and behavior which they do not like or do not understand, into disease. Much of that speech and behavior is protected by the Constitution.

He cites E. Fuller Torrey the financier of forced drug treatment, who recently gave $100 million to a university to study a hoped for connection between genes and mental illness. Since mental illnesses are created by consensus it is highly unlikely. Nonetheless the research industry will thrive.

Journalists repeat FBI profiles broadcast about Loughner, "he is delusional" and "irrational." Yet he was able to obtain an efficient weapon with extra ammunition, go to the proper location and at the proper time, and complete his planned dastardly deed. How is that delusional? These negative personal attacks serve to arouse an angry mob. But what evidence does the profiler have, who never met the accused shooter?

Lowry errs saying Szasz compares psychiatry to slavery. Szasz uses the analogy with The Inquisition which applies strictly.

Lowry cites a woman who "lived with constant delusions of people persecuting her." Was her name Hillary Clinton, who discovered the vast right wing conspiracy? The same woman who imagined machine gun attacks on the tarmac?

Mental illness does not have an influential lobby devoted to not treating it. It has a group of people who demand informed consent before treatment. Why is that quaint notion denied to persons accused of mental illness? Psychiatric diagnoses are the only ones requiring police power for forced treatment. Why no forced treatment for rashes and broken legs?

CAIR Won't Cooperate With The FBI

FBI employs informants who will say or do anything for money or to stay out of prison. The allegations of CAIR are not unusual. This report shows that CAIR is better informed about American history than most Americans. There is substantial history to show that the FBI especially the Boston office abuses its power and works closely with organized crime figures acquiescing in serious criminal acts. The sad part is that citizens and corrupt politicians share the relaxed rectitude of the FBI. There is no will to investigate and to curb FBI abuses.

NAMI Propaganda Exploiting Arizona Tragedy

No business interests exploit tragedy as thoroughly and as shamelessly as the psychiatric industry and the drug companies. Quoting NAMI shows how biased this report is. 55 percent of NAMI's budget is from drug companies to promote drug treatment. Mental illnesses are created by consensus not science. Psychiatry defines illness as speech and behavior which psychiatrists do not like or do not understand. Most of the speech and behavior so defined is protected by the US Constitution. In the name of preventing violence psychiatry and this woman obsessed with the brain wants to criminalize if not medicalize legal speech and behavior. Concerned about irrational thought processes? Examine politicians. There's a group that needs supervision. NAMI promotes violating state and US privacy laws in order to reveal medical records to the media. TSA wants citizens to report suspicious packages and behavior. TSA arrested a teacher for having a suspicious bagel and keys in a bag. Reporting non conformist behavior and speech protected by the US Constitution, will lead to even more abuses. Think the film Idiocracy, with NAMI in charge. NAMI and the New York Times promote psychiatry as a way to control non conformists. Psychiatry as reported here demands unchanging conformity, else one is dangerous and needs treatment. Mother dead? Hit by a car? You are mentally ill if you are not as happy as before. This PR flack for NAMI says it is terrifying to deny one is mentally ill. For what real illness do police enforce diagnoses, and force treatment? Even if the professional caring community actually prevented violence they create more than they prevent. The greatest fear of the drug industry and their salesmen psychiatrists is that citizens will learn that dangerous chemicals can cause violence in humans. Expressing their personal opinions in the name of good with support from misguided journalists (many of whom love psychiatric chemicals), they are able to fool citizens. How often do lamestream media outlets quote critics of psychiatry? It is all one-sided reporting. It is not necessary to fool politicians; NAMI only needs to give them campaign contributions to write more laws wasting taxpayer funds for psychiatry and chemicals.

Peyser quotes Brooklyn psychiatrist Hilfer referring to "This man's deepening and worsening mental illness," without offering any proof. Did this psychiatrist ever meet with the accused shooter? Did he get access to the defendant's medical records in violation of state and US laws? All too often psychiatrists are ignorant of laws. Some know the laws but ignore them due to disrespectful attitudes toward their patients. Journalists are all too eager to publish whatever psychiatrists say with no skepticism or criticism from others.

No Common Sense Enforcing Laws

Here's an example of politicians writing laws because humans have little common sense in this country. It is a good idea to scrutinize deaths in or out of hospitals. Similar laws could be useful in MA where medical researchers are allowed to declare the cause of deaths and do their own investigations of deaths during experiments. They usually blame a "pre-existing condition," excusing themselves from any culpability. Police, District Attorneys and the Medical Examiner do not investigate research deaths. But the laws in MA that require reporting deaths to the DA or the Medical Examiner are not always complied with. This allows the researchers to get away with murder which at best can be classified as negligent homicide.

Does Technology Decrease Quality of Life?

This student essay recognizes effects of technology on young lives. But they are part of a larger problem i.e., the lack of common sense, historical perspective and rectitude among the current population. David Callahan's book The Cheating Culture, describes how students cheat often under pressure from parents and peers. But there are other kinds of learning besides book learning and information. Being able to use technology is one kind of learning that improves lives. Technology is amoral. It can and always has been used for good and evil. Scientists believe that technology can solve all human problems. But technology as this essay observes creates problems. John Tudor said, "Technology makes it possible for people to gain control over everything, except over technology." This is one aspect of life that needs constant scrutiny along with government. Will citizens rise to the challenge?

[From article]
"The increased use of personal communication technology in today's culture is not improving people’s lives.
[. . .]
With more use of technology there is a decrease in peoples' quality of life. Learning is being affected in a harmful way because it is easier to cheat. Technology is also harmfully affecting the safety of teens who are driving and talking on the cell phones, which causes them to crash. The overuse of technology is harming many teenagers' relationships with their parents. The best way to help teens in learning, safety, and relationships is to decrease their use of technology."

Saving the Airlines...

Saving the Airlines...

Dump the male flight attendants. No one wanted them in the first place.

Replace all the female flight attendants with good-looking strippers! What the hell -- they don't even serve food anymore, so what's the loss?

The strippers would at least triple the alcohol sales and get a 'party atmosphere' going in the cabin. And, of course, every businessman in this country would start flying again, hoping to see naked women.

Because of the tips, female flight attendants wouldn't need a salary, thus saving even more money. I suspect tips would be so good that we could charge the women for working the plane and have them kick back 20% of the tips, including lap dances and 'special services.'

Muslims would be afraid to get on the planes for fear of seeing naked women. Hijackings would come to a screeching halt, and the airline industry would see record revenues.

This is definitely a win-win situation if we handle it right -- a golden opportunity to turn a liability into an asset.

Why didn't Bush or Obama think of this? Why do I still have to do everything myself?

Bill Clinton

Today We Learn What A Metaphor Is

Only problem with Eagan's argument is that all Jews do not agree with this Irish woman's misguided hyperbole. (Spending way too much time with chief Moonbat Braude who speaks for all people all the time?) Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law School Professor (hint, he teaches where the Obama One got his law degree), a staunch defender of Jews and Israel disagrees and notes that using the term "blood libel" metaphorically is pervasive and correct. Ann Coulter makes the same observation. Why don't liberals understand using words metaphorically? Didn't they teach metaphors at Stanford?

Propaganda for Drug Cos., Anti Gun Nuts, Politicians

The lead suggests bigotry by this reporter, who would never imply the Glock was the weapon of choice of black Americans. With no evidence this alleged journalist expresses his negative bias toward persons he believes to be mentally disturbed. But the disturbed individual was rational enough to get the most efficient weapon with extra ammo and go to a public meeting and get into position to do his dastardly deed. It is like the confused thinking of liberals who made George Bush into an Evil Genius and the Village Idiot at the same time. It is logically impossible. The Rahm Emanuel doctrine is in action, "Never let a crisis go to waste." First political zealots attribute the shooting to right wing hate speech. But the shooter was a liberal druggie. Then the mental health lobby and the drug industry PR machine exploited the event promoting more taxpayer funded treatment for made up illnesses with no pathology. Finally we have the anti gun nuts who as herein report that the gun company owner was attacked with a wooden mallet. Horrors. When will mallets be banned? This is trash which should have a label as propaganda or advertisement shamelessly misleading readers.

Your personal attacks and paranoia are showing. Republicans and heterosexuals are banned in the Utopia called Massachusetts where everything is loving, tasty, aromatic, beautiful, free for illegal aliens, and approved by Harvard psychiatrists. My, my. Such misspelled profanity shows your enormous vocabulary. Where did you study? At Harvard? Television? What is that poor misguided soul -- where you get your in depth information?

[Responding to a comment posted replying to above]
Psychiatry is a business partnered with the drug industry, promoting fake illnesses. Read Boston University's Margaret Hagan's Whores of The Court. Your belief in them does not make them real. Why only promote two special interests using the Rahm Emanuel Doctrine -- exploiting tragedy for only the anti gun lobby and the mental health lobby? Don't you accept the nonsense that Loughner was a right wing useful idiot? Totalitarians oppose guns for citizens, and support the mental health lobby. No due process protections for psychiatric druggings or incarcerations. People need guns to protect themselves from oppressive government. It was and is Communists, Nazis, and American control freaks, often called psychiatrists, who love psychiatric chemicals and use(d) them as a first line of defense against government critics and free thinkers. You want to take psychiatric drugs go ahead but beware becoming violent from the chemicals pushed by the legal drug merchants. You make great arguments for giving up your freedom to government bureaucrats and politicians. As for 5-year-olds making threats what are the odds he had no father? Think in terms of two-parent families instead of drugging people for profit into submission. Parental love and guidance may not be what your business model prefers, but it always works better than government forced drugs to enhance human potential. Granted drug companies spend much more money on PR than does the two parent family lobby. Oh wait, there is no two-parent family lobby. Guess who wins the propaganda wars? You are a true believer in PR.

Dershowitz Defends Palin

In this report Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz defends Sarah Palin's metaphorical use of the term "blood libel." Glad some prominent defender of Israel stands up for her. But he adds to his comment the phrase "a mentally disturbed individual," apparently referring to Jared Loughner, the accused shooter of US Rep. Giffords in Arizona. Two questions arise. How does he know that? Is he making a psychiatric diagnosis? How reliable is that? Secondly if he has knowledge of Loughner's medical records how did he see them? Revealing medical records without consent is a violation of state and US privacy laws. Why are those laws only only enforced for non psychiatric patients? Why do journalists plaster across the media landscape psychiatric records (or anecdotal reports of psychiatric illness) while others are protected? At least if psychiatry was a legitimate medical specialty. But their illnesses are created by consensus. They testify in court giving their personal opinion masquerading as science. They predict the future! Here is one more example that the highest levels of prestigious American academics believe that there is substance to psychiatry other than the billions of taxpayer dollars wasted each year.

[from article]
"The term 'blood libel' has taken on a broad metaphorical meaning in public discourse," he said in a statement to biggovernment.com. "I myself have used it to describe false accusations against the State of Israel by the Goldstone Report. There is nothing improper and certainly nothing anti-Semitic in Sarah Palin using the term to characterize what she reasonably believes are false accusations that her words or images may have caused a mentally disturbed individual to kill and maim."
